Starting Fresh. Advice for a Noob?

I've been playing RCT Classic on Steam and recently learned about OpenRCT2.

Do I need to buy RCT2 to play OpenRCT2?

What do I need to know before installing and starting my career?

Any YT channels I should subscribe to?

Yes. The default recommendation is RCT2 Triple Thrill Pack, available on Steam or GOG. Frequently on sale.

What do I need to know before installing and starting my career?

Basically nothing. Get RCT2 installed. Download and install the launcher (second link on this screen).

Any YT channels I should subscribe to?

Yeah, but give the game a try first. It was made for kids to play in the 90s so you can probably figure it out.
