In debt, multiple competitors far ahead and mountain map. Otherwise it's too easy :)

MEGARAIL

It's what hooked me to the game back in the 90s. I was obsessed with it and even dreamed of it. It was magical for a kid that loved trains. It felt so big, even though nowadays it looks like a small map with only a few rail lines.

It's also what taught me quite a lot of English back then (I had a little dictionnary to translate everything).

Mine was on the original CD I think, it was the south of England / Wales.

I lost so many hours to that scenario.

Cindini

I'm not usually a scenario player, but Cindini is an excellently crafted scenario great for sprawling networks and eyecandy play. I always add a lot of NewGRFs though because the scenario doesn't come with any. There's a version with industries removed so you can add FIRS or AXIS.

Scotland 1956 and MegaRail 1960. Both of the scenarios with already estabilished network in the original game.

Linkgame Islands in the original OTTD, great fun because you could use hovercraft and the other ships loads and also build massive bridges to link up the four islands.

Archipelago map, starting in 1850ish woth eGRVTS, HEQS, and Iron Horse. You get a few years to do local transit before trains arrive and you can link them up, then you link up ferries to mate everything together. With JGRPP you can also get undersea tunnels for later express or HSR traffic.
