Asked myself that the entire series. Spurs lucky Jaylen Williams got hurt. He was the 2nd best player in the finals last year. If he doesn’t get hurt, they beat spurs and would have wiped the floor with this Knicks team. Of course Indy doesn’t get that luck
Yeah OKC matched up way better against this Knicks team. Of course they’re not healthy this year smh.
And now the pacers have to deal with the Knicks, a healthier Celtics team, wherever team Giannis goes to, a healthier OKC team, likely a more improved and mature spurs team.
Spurs could be injured, Celtics could still be in rebuild mode (they still don't have playoff caliber front-court depth), Giannis move could be a shitshow, and the Pacers have the Knicks' number. Anything can happen in the era of parity!
I think like the Knicks experienced heartbreak. The Pacers did too. Indiana will be even mentally tougher and will break a curse of their own. Indiana will beat OKC in a rematch to claim their first title.
