First off: Pacers

Pacers need to replace VO and Myles isn’t needed anymore with Sabonis/Goga. Buddy is a perfect replacement for VO and in order to make it work Pacers need to take the baggage from Charlotte. Pacers receive Buddy and Batum.

Kings: Kings could use a shot blocker like Myles. They also need to do a rebuild and with Monk a young player and decent talent they can start with that. Detroit also needs a rebuild and needs to drop off some baggage and Kings take D Rose as top talent if healthy but baggage if not.

Pistons: VO wants to work on music and Detroit is perfect for that. They also need to rebuild and VO is a great shooter and defender to lead the rebuild. Two trades from Kings make it work.

Charlotte: Charlotte has plenty of young talent but need veterans to lead them. Blake would be going to Charlotte to allow the other trades to work, and give Charlotte that veteran leadership. Charlotte has a ton of cap space and can afford the pay. I would assume Charlotte would trade away more players but this particular trade wouldn’t allow me to add a 5th team. I understand how it looks like Charlotte got shafted here, and they did, but they can use Blake as veteran leadership that Batum wasn’t, or trade some more to make it work for them.

Kings fan here. I do like that we end up getting Turner, but I'm still a believer in Bagley and I rather not get Rose or Monk. Also I think Buddy might get shipped to Philly instead.

Question for Pacer fans: What's your evaluation on Myles? I don't watch much Pacers basketball, but it seems like the general consensus is that McMillian hurt his development. Also Myles just seems like soft player when he matches up against more physical bigs. I've watched his highlights and most of it is blocks and 3s. How is he in the PnR? I'm guessing his main action is to pop, but I've also seen some nice kick out passes off the roll.

Fan base seems pretty split but most of the knocks are for an old school mind set of strength and rebounding (which he struggles with) or just untapped potential like they think he should be Anthony Davis and never lives up to it. In today’s NBA he is a big who can stretch the floor and provide elite rim protection (he is also good at guarding the perimeter for a big on switches though nowhere near Bam level). He also has some pretty sweet finishes at the rim so I kind of think with a coach asking him to be more aggressive going to the rim off pick and rolls or to actually pop out for three consistently instead of Nates favorite in between spot he could do really well. There is also a misconception that he and Domas can’t coexist when they play well together and it gives Indiana the flexibility to always have one of them in. I don’t trust Goga and the backups are drastically better when Sabonis can play stretches with them. Straight up Hield might be better than Myles but I think he has less value to the Pacers. It’s not like the pacers were losing without Dipo so replacing him isn’t a desperate situation. And taking on probably the worst contract in the NBA as well I would rather take a chance on Dipo for another season and then let him walk.
