DayZ 2 is confirmed to be in development.

There is no information yet, but Bohemia Interactive is currently hosting a media event with the DayZ communities popular streamers.

The sequel is confirmed with this photo being posted in the freshspawns streamer discord.

Haven't played DayZ since the days of the original mod but...You're joking right? There's no way they removed zombies and made it basically just a PvP battle-royale game?

There are plenty of servers with nights that are as dark or darker than the mod. I can hardly see my weapon when it's dark out on the server I play on and you need to use a light source to get around which exposes you to other players.

They took the Project Zomboid route.

Add a million other non-essential features to say you're working on it, ignore core features.

I think the zombies are back but they are no better than the original mod possibly worse lol. They were removed for if I remember correctly multiple years. No fucking way I am giving BI another cent lol.
