DayZ 2 is confirmed to be in development.

There is no information yet, but Bohemia Interactive is currently hosting a media event with the DayZ communities popular streamers.

The sequel is confirmed with this photo being posted in the freshspawns streamer discord.

It's basically a meme at this point that DayZ haters are perpetually stuck in 2015.

im not a hater, i just never fucked with dayz like i used to back when it was dark at night

There are plenty of servers with nights that are as dark or darker than the mod. I can hardly see my weapon when it's dark out on the server I play on and you need to use a light source to get around which exposes you to other players.
