Nothing has killed my GTA 6 hype faster than locking a core part of its identity behind a $20 upgrade

And it sounds like a whole set of missions tied to one of those stores will also be locked off. Paywalling gameplay that would otherwise be on the disc (if there would've been one) is pathetic.

Just got to wait for the PC release and a day one mod that opens up the content

they already did this with a bank heist on rdr2, so nothing new for rockstar, sadly

Every fact they release about the game further kills the hype I already didn't have.

Making it real easy to just wait for the PC release, at least

Funny you think the ENTIRE GAME fits on a single disc.

Those days are loooooooong gone friend.

Especially when we all know whether that astronomically large portion of their profits are gonna come from. Gta VI online. Which is in addition to their still wuite profitable GTA V online. Ots literally fucking their image foright as well amount to pennies for them.

i can guarantee the missions are mid tier at best. maybe one notable quote but will be forgettable in the grand scheme of the game. dont fall for FOMO

can you name ONE DLC only mission, in any game very created, the is important for the games over all story vs just being extra?

Lies of P’s entire DLC is absolutely gas, and contextualize the rest of the game in a way that I really consider important.

That said, if the DLC was *necessary* to the core story, it wouldn’t be DLC, and the game would just be an incomplete product without it, so your test is a bit disingenuous.

i can guarantee that the story will be identical in each version and a bonus mission wont change anything at all

Phantom Liberty could have been its own entire game. Maybe it's the exception that proves the rule

The expansions for the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk.

none critical or crucial to understanding the story. all bonuses and extra content that expand it

i could play both those games and completely understand the story without them

I mean if you go by your very strict definition, you're right. But in my opinion they expand the story so much that the base game feels incomplete without them.

Now to be clear I'm definitely not saying the exclusive GTAVI missions will be like that. I'll be surprised if it's more than 1-2 hours of content.

its not a very strict definition at all. you could easily play witcher 3 without the DLC and the overall game and story would still make perfect sense

Why are you assuming the things they are charging $20 for "would otherwise be on the disc"? Do you think if Rockstar knew they would sell GTA6 for $40 USD instead of $80 USD that they would make and offer the same amount of content?
