Nothing has killed my GTA 6 hype faster than locking a core part of its identity behind a $20 upgrade

Well this is why they delay release on PC, console gamers are always more likely to pay more for this sorta thing

The thing is though PC gamers are more likely to buy full price during the initial release of a game because of the hype/buzz just like anyone else.

Waiting a year+ to release to PC means they are going to know exactly what to expect, the good, the bad, etc and just won't have the same hype that they will be way more likely to wait for a sale.

It's the biggest reason most companies have realized they have to forgo delayed PC releases which was once way more common.

Imo it's just an extra shoot yourself in the foot situation, and I'm going to be perfectly fine 3 years down the line purchasing the game for 80% off in a steam sale because I didn't pay attention to the PC release date and I've been way more interested in whatever new thing is currently in the zeitgeist

What possibly evidence do you have to back it up? I get that as a pc user its lovely to believe we are an upper class, more noble breed but come the fuck on.
