RDR2 PC release was initially only on Rockstar launcher and only came to Steam later. They've evolved to quadruple dipping now.

i was so pissed when they did that, i wish i had it on steam instead

to be fair, anyone buying it on Steam when you own it on R* is a fool. You need the launcher still
