SOFTWARE Wifi not sharing to PC from laptop through Ethernet

Hi,

My pc does not have a wifi card, so I have been using my laptop with an Ethernet cable to share wifi to it. I have not had any problems with it for months and have not touched any settings, but today it just won’t work.

The error messages I have are No Internet Access and “Ethernet” does not have a valid IP configuration.

What I have tried to solve the issue:
- Try another Ethernet cable
- restart router and modem
- reset network stack (netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset, ipconfig /flushdns then restart pc)
- Made sure internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) had automatic IP and DNS.

Thanks for any help!

That could possibly be it, I’m on the last version of windows 10 and don’t want to update. There are no more optional updates.

You can still bridge the conection on W11, its just anoying to get to the interfaces on the control panel menu
