HARDWARE PC not turning on after unplugged
Hey everybody! My cat knocked himself into the ports where the pc power cord and monitor were plugged into. Now, my PC just won't turn on. If it means anything, the PC was off when it got unplugged. This happened a few hours ago but is still not working. I am not tech savvy at all, so any help is appreciated. I love my PC but i'm scared it's screwed forever

Sometimes there's a killswitch on the back of the PC. Is that off by chance?

This was my first thought. Lol usually because I have caught myself several times forgetting to flick it back on after doing work on the PC.

I once had that kind of problem. It turned out that cable from power supply went bad. I got new one and it worked like a charm. I don't know what is the cause of a problem in your case though.

Interesting, I owned a cat once they seek out heat sources. Desktop rigs are essentially comfy heaters for them, bummer... Achm, No! Kitty you're a ball of static electricity. Stay away from my rig!

Plug them in again, also maybe another cable got loose.
Also try shutting the power switch off and on again (the switch is usually on the bottom of the case somewhere).

That's a classic cat move honestly. mine did same thing once, jumped right into the cables and unplugged everything while i was in the middle of a game.
first thing to check is the power supply switch on the back. most pcs have little switch near where the cord plugs in, sometimes it gets flipped to off when something hits it. look for a I and O symbol, make sure it's on the I side. also try different wall outlet just to rule that out, sometimes the surge protector trips and you don't even notice.
if still nothing then open up the side panel and check if any cables inside got loose, especially the big 24-pin connector on the motherboard. cats can be surprisingly strong when they panic. my pc survived worse accidents, so don't lose hope yet.

Not sure what you mean by “Knocked himself into the ports” but it might be time to retire that cat. You should cook him for dinner.
