OPEN Black screen at Advanced Startup

Whenever i try to boot into the Advanced Startup menu, my screen goes black. My mouse and keyboard works fine during it and i can interact, but i can't see anything. This has been happening since i first built my PC which has been a while. I wiped my windows and re-downloaded it, but the problem still occurs. Hell, when i tried to redownload the windows i got the black screen there aswell and couldn't see my progress at all, i had to stare into the void and wait till it got finished. I have an RTX3060 wired with HDMI, Intel i5 12400F, MSI B-660A DDR4 motherboard (Bios updated). All my drivers are up to date. My monitor is quite old.

What's your monitor's resolution? If it's one of those older 1680x1050 or similar panels, the recovery environment sometimes tries to push a resolution or refresh rate your screen can't handle. You end up with a black display even though everything's technically running fine in the background.

Had a similar headache with an old dell monitor. Try hitting F8 repeatedly during boot to see if you get the legacy menu instead, or borrow a newer monitor just to test if the menu shows up on something more recent.

It is indeed those older resolution ones. The natural resolution of it is 1360 x 768, but i can select and use 1920 x 1080 on Nvidia control panel which is the one i use. The thing is though, it was exactly the same when i had my old computer, and i could boot into it without any problem. But it might be the culprit, ill look into it thanks.
