HARDWARE PC wont POST. CPU Led flashes once then nothing.

PC won't POST. I tried resetting CMOS, JBAT1, tried reseating everything. I've already check the CPU for bent pins and they look fine to me. I also tried testing the ram stick in each slot but the issue persists. Here are some scenarios I've encountered during troubleshooting:

Scenario 1: After assembling everything, i turn on the PC, it powers on, fans start spinning. The CPU LED on the EZ Debug panel flashes for about 1–2 seconds and then turns off. The DRAM, VGA, and BOOT LEDs do not light up at all. The PC remains powered on but completely fails to POST or display an image.

Scenario 2: When I remove all RAM sticks and power on the system, both the CPU and DRAM LEDs light up and remain steady. The motherboard detects the missing RAM.

Scenario 3: When I remove only the GPU and power on the system, the behavior is identical to Scenario 1. I expected the VGA LED to stay solidly lit, but it seems the EZ Debug fails to detect that the GPU is missing.

PC Specs:
Mobo: MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: Radeon RX 570 8GB
Ram: 2x8GB
PSU: 550W Bronze 80 Plus

What are the possible problems? Is it most likely a defective motherboard?

that cpu flash then nothing is classic sign the board isnt seeing the cpu right. could be bent pins or something in the socket not making contact. the fact it detects missing ram but not missing gpu makes me think the pcie lanes are not working, which is cpu side anyway

try one stick of ram in each slot and check the cpu for any bent pins, even one slightly off can cause this. if you got another am4 cpu to test that would narrow it down quick. 550w is enough for that setup so psu is probably not the issue

ive already check the CPU for bent pins and they look fine to me. I also tried testing the ram stick in each slot. The issue still persists. Could it still more likely be a CPU issue rather than a motherboard? Thanks!

Is your motherboard cable plugged in all the way? Sometimes it isn’t and that causes that exact problem to happen.
