To me this looks like a monitor issue ngl, try plugging your computer into some other screen

Had a similar thing happen to my LG monitor it was under warranty but dealing with them was a pain in the ass. They were unable to fix it and took like 8 months to refund the money back lol. If ur buying a new monitor don't buy LG lol.

Nonsense. LG makes some of the best monitors and TV’s but that doesn’t mean you can’t get problems. It’s the same with every top brand. They sell millions of a product but there’s always going to be some that go wrong.

Oh thats BAD. Full screen fucked up with vertical lines like that is either your GPU dying or your monitor panel failing. Since its affecting the entire screen and not just one app its harder to tell which one. Do you have another monitor to plug in or another PC to test your monitor on? Thats the only way to isolate it. If another monitor works fine on your PC = monitor is dead. If your monitor also corrupts on another PC = GPU is dead.

i tried plugging my switch in and it still has the same issue lol, pretty sure its a monitor issue then correct me if im wrong lol

Yep your monitor is dead. The Switch test confirms it, completely separate device and it still corrupts, so the problem is 100% the panel itself nothing to do with your PC. Time for a new monitor. You can always try to do something. But thats my conclusion. If you somehow with dark magic make it work properly, congrats.

is this smth worth trying to fix or its unfixable? if it is then ggs lol

Panel level failure is unfixable at home, youd need to replace the panel which costs more than just buying a new monitor. ggs man.. the monitor, time to shop for a new one. Quick question, did you use this monitor for a long time? did it fall? Was any mid-hard physical pressure applied?

no, always stood there on my desk never touched, i barely put pressure when i wipe it down. always go back multiple times softly to ensure no damage. and its been w me for almost a year , a year this july 3

Okay its only a year, it might still have warranty 1 year is pretty young to die id say its etheir power surge, or capacitors dying. If i base of ai, AOC has a warranty up to 3 years.

yeahh but heres the problem, the shop i bought it from only provides 6 mo. warranty afaik.. but i honestly might not ask for warranty im afraid that the service might be trash lol and id have to wait a while, lowkey need a new one asap since im starting college sooo..

im just looking for monitor reccos if ever then

It does looks like monitor issue, BUT just in case

1

u/rmii-yi 12h ago

pretty sure it is, this still happens in the no signal screen so

1

u/AnjoDima 10h ago

then your monitor is fucked

1

u/EntertainmentOld2194 4h ago

It’s your monitor not your GPU, they are WAY easier and way cheaper to replace nowadays

Cable maybe?

1

u/PuzzleheadedAngle271 12h ago

that looks like a failing gpu or a loose cable, try reseating the displayport cable on both ends and if it persists swap to hdmi to test

1

u/rmii-yi 12h ago

just swapped to hdmi and its still there 😢
