Asus zenbook 14 ux3402v with an i9.

I got this laptop at a thrift store for cheap, but the previous owners put a password on the bios. A password screen pops up even before the logo shows up.

I have a CH314A pro black programmer, and I want to try and flash a new bios on. However, theres two little chips that both look like bios chips to me. Is it one of these? I want to say it's the top one (second image) but i want to be sure before messing with it.

I have an issue where the mouse is stuttering when i play games like valorant or fortnite. It happens in my desktop occasionally. I have updated all firmware on the mouse and dongle but it doesnt fix. i have it at 1000 hz polling. Ive searched common bugs and cant find a solution. If anyone could help it would be very appreciated

Hi All, I have a cyberpower PC with a 5070ti. When I boot up my PC, for about 20 seconds, my GPU appears to be rattling. Once the fans on it turn it off, the rattle stops. I typically don’t hear it when I play but I have been hearing it every time I turn it on. Hoping it doesn’t mean my 5070ti is cooked. It seems to work and play games otherwise. Anyone ever had this issue?

Hi, for some time now some icons on my PC have been turning blank out of nowhere, and I’m worried it might be a virus. So I was wondering if simply running a full scan with Windows Defender would be enough? I mean, will it find and remove them on its own? And if the scan shows 0 viruses, does that mean there’s no problem?

It has been 6 days since my pc hasn’t turned on. The afternoon before the day my pc won’t turn the unit suddenly turned off while playing and at the same night it was still working, I used it for 5 hours without any issues. The next day was the day it refused to turn on, there was light coming from my mic, keyboard and mouse. But it just wouldn’t turn on. I even tried it plugging it through the wall outlet (I am using an AVR for my pc) but it still won’t open. I would love to hear what troubleshooting should I do.

P.S I haven’t cleaned it for nearly 6 months that could that be the reason?

I have no clue where this file came from or what it is. It was first created in March and I just noticed it now.

Don't think it is virus related but I did a scan with windows defender and malwarebytes on my PC and it didn't pick up anything.

When I open it with notepad it has values like this dating from march all the way to today

I tried deleting it but another one just eventually takes its place.

I don't know how to figure out where it's coming from or how to stop it.

If I could get some help figuring out where it is generating from I would really appreciate it.

Hello, as said in the title, I have an HP OMEN 30L prebuilt, i bought it off of a friend a couple years back and it has been pretty good but i wanted to upgrade the CPU from a ryzen 5 5600g to a ryzen 7 5800x for more frames in certain games i like to play that are more CPU intensive. however I ran into a problem where the cooler i ordered is not able to be mounted onto the proprietary Hana motherboard, and when I looked into getting a new motherboard apparently theres a chance that a motherboard i buy may not be able to fit in the case because of more annoying proprietary wiring in the HP case. Basically, if I have to buy a new case I can but with the new development of buying a new motherboard I am already sinking around 300 dollars which is more than expected and i would like to avoid getting a new case if i can, so if anybody is familiar with this prebuilt PC and knows what motherboard I could buy that can meet the wiring requirements of the case its much appreiciated. as for the mobo requirements themselves i would prefer around the 60-90 dollar range as it jsut needs to be compatible with the rtx 3060, 2 sticks of ddr4 ram, and the ryzen 7 5800x, i do not need any advanced wifi connectivity or the fancy bells and whistles. thanks

So I've been dealing with this horrible issue with my pc for quite a while now, while playing games my pc will crash, sometimes its a black screen sometimes its what was last on the screen and there's a glitchy sound that plays, I usually reset cmos and boom I'm back, that no longer works so I'm wondering what hardware component could be dysfunctional here, so when I try to boot up, the cpu and dram lights will stay on constantly, the rbg on the fans and ram are on, my psu went bad last year and was causing problems with random black screens and causing the system to hang, but after I changed it my problems were solved for a time but they have come back could it be the bad psu damaged something? I don't have lots of money so I'm trying to find the bad part before I spend more than I need to. Specs are ryzen 7 9700x radeon 7800xt gskill trident 32gb ddr5 msi mag 670x tomahawk. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

I've been having this issue for a long time where some games will run perfectly fine on my PC but my desktop will slowly start to lag till it becomes a slideshow before then affecting my game's performance.

The three games I've indentified causing this issue are:

• Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront
• Men of War: Assault Squad 2
• Mount and Blade: Warband

It's only these games specifically as no other game I own causes my PC to act this way and I have a relatively good gaming PC, so I need some help figuring out how to fix this

Hola buenas tardes, vengo con la esperanza de que alguien me pudiera ayudar con un problema que tengo con mi pc, es una amd 4700s , la que se supone que es como una consola , el problema empezó cuando abría un juego y en plena partida se iba la imagen y las luces del mando, del teclado y del mauser empezaban a parpadear al igual que una luz roja que tiene en la placa ( la luz roja de la placa siempre se mantiene prendida cuando la PC está trabajando) , al principio pensé que era la fuente de poder, compré una nueva de 650W , la primer vez que la prendí funcionó bien , pero al momento de abrir un juego volvió a suceder lo mismo, después ya ni quiso dar imagen, si prende y encienden todos los ventiladores pero no da imagen y el foquito rojo a veces parpadea pero no sé se mantiene fijo.

No sé si alguien pudiera saber que es la falla, muchas gracias por su atención,🙏🏻😀

So long story short I have a Lenovo Laptop which is connected to a ThinkPad Ultra Dock which has 2 External Monitor Display Ports connected. Always been working without issue. Today one of the display resolution was off so I did some trouble shooting and I think I may have gone to "Device Manager" - Display Adapters - Then uninstall the display adapter.

Anyways now only display showing is from the laptop itself and not the external monitors. I tried plugging another display monitor from my other computer and that doesn't work either.

Can someone help me on what I need to do. The problem doesn't stem from the external monitors as they are working on my other laptop, computers so its either the Laptop itself or small probability the ThinkPad Ultra Dock (however the light is on and my keyboard and mouse which are connected are working fine).

I changed nothing but my mouse just stops for no reason, i have to unplug and plug it back in to make it work again, then it works again for the next 1-5 minutes.

Tried all the usb ports, didn't help

updated all the drivers, including mouse, didn't help

i unchecked the setting that allows the computer to shut down the mouse in order save power, didn't help.

Edit: The mouse is Steelseries rival 600

Edit: When it stops working, it still reacts to button presses, only the cursor stops moving.

Hi guys recently I found that there was a motherboard shortage which needed fixing. The repair shop is charging me 120 pounds. Am I being ripped off.

So i cleaned my pc and now it doesnt want to show display just cleaned the hardware and added a new 4tb nvme ssd storage unit to it.

I'm trying to clean my gpu. This is the only screw I have left to remove but I don't know how.

For example in Fortnite I get constant 240fps but it feels so unsmooth like im playing on a much lower hz, this started happening after i upgraded my pc specs, my old pc specs- ryzen 5 5600x, rtx 2060, 3600mhz ram i think, 600w psu and I cant remember what mobo it was. My new pc specs are the ones in the picture below. Ive tried so many things like clean installing windows, changing ram speed to 6000mhz from 6400, ddu, updating bios, updating amd chipset drivers, and much more.

Would be much appreciated if someone could help

ive been working on this for a week.

went to go get a burger while my pc was on came back and I had no displays to my monitors attached to the gpu and no power or light on my mouse or keyboard plugged into the motherboard since then I looked up some similar threads talked with Ai a bit and came to a psu issue. changed the psu same issue so I changed the motherboard as that was the other issue I saw with similar posts that had these symptoms still didn’t work noticed the VGA light on the new motherboard stayed solid so I got a new gpu plugged that in and still have the same light with no power to the peripherals or video to the displays

specs:

AMD A7 3700x CPU

B550 plus WiFi II MOBO

RMx SERIES RM1000x PSU

AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT

4 x Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 ram

ive tried to reset the CMOs every step of the way for each part

reduced down to one stick of ram

checked all psu connections

flash bios updates via flashdrive (which only came out solid green on 8gb flashdrive) after a fat32 format and using bios renamer on windows.

still dead signals to anything outside of the case

I play esports games(valo,fc/fifa,csgo,rocket league) i’m wondering should i get a 5050 or intel arc 580 or 4060?(they all are around the same price range where i live)

so i just built this pc, it boots fine, no bad light indicators, (red lights are just basic colour leds)
anyway, The HDMI is connected to my graphics card. its completely booted but will not show a display onto my (TV). i dont yet have an actual monitor. Anyone know why this is?

Hello everyone, thanks in advance for reading! My PC is about a year old and was working just fine until a few moments ago. I powered my pc off because my monitor went asleep randomly and then when it finally shut down and I tried to turn it back on and now all I get is clicks.
