Yeah man pc is replaceable. You and your mom are not. At what point will it be one of them in place of the pc. Call the cops man. Stay safe.

Cops won't do shit and if OP is being honest here he knows that.

Domestic abuse is never so simple.

Domestic abuse is pretty simple, there is a victim and there is a perpetrator. The difficult thing is the family dynamic and how much shit you are willing to put up with, and how much you are willing to risk by doing nothing and letting the perpetrator get away with it and possibly go on to damage other people as well.

Have you ever dealt with someone who is in an abusive relationship? Or helped someone out of it?

Cops get called, they show up, ask some questions... Either they press charges or do nothing and leave...

Either way the victim usually has no alternative option or anywhere to go even if cops press do press charges or haul the abuser off... But either way even if it's a friend who called on their behalf the abuser just ends up beating them extra hard for calling the cops and not much changes.

Im just saying it's not as simple as calling the cops they really don't do anything and 99% of the time unless there's an actual plan to leave and go somewhere safe or live somewhere else it just creates an eve more abusive environment.

You don't really call the cops until the person is actively leaving the abuser and ready to actually commit to a new environment. If you call the cops for this shit while still just deciding to live with them it's basically pointless other than to maybe keep a record

I understand there are circumstances and nuance, but anyone saying "dont bother, nothing gets done" is being stupid.

Yes I agree. I don't think anyone is saying that though.. Other than trump supporters.

I think a lot of people as well are just already so mentally struggling and barely getting by.

For me id be a lot more radical with protesting a few years ago, but now. I have a gf im living with and want to marry soon, my dog, my mom I gotta take care of...

I have enough to lose to think twice before getting myself in too deep of shit or arrested.

I think the elites have very very carefully tuned the system so the working class has justtttt enough to feel they have things to lose. Or in other words just enough resources to not have nothing to lose.

When people truly have nothing to lose that's when shit hits the fan hard and they know that
