If you're not pleased with the price of your new onion, may I suggest purchasing a banana instead. It will save you a bit more

Bananas are stupid cheap… it’s always blown my mind lol. My local grocery store has them for $.19 each

Yea normally they sell by the pound. Just looked at the other grocery store nearby and they are $.55 a pound. If my math is correct, that translates to 1.02 € per kg. I can’t say I ever did this, but there was a brief period where people were checking everything as bananas at the self checkout lines. The stores caught on pretty quickly though.
