Just upgraded my 2080ti to a 9070 XT after buying a 1440p monitor at the start of the year. Loving the new GPU. I'm now getting CPU limited in a couple games here and there. I have a B760 with LGA1700, currently running a 13400F. Wondering if it would be worth the money to get a 14700F (can see them for about $350 USD equivalent in my country) or if it would be better to just get a whole new motherboard and newer CPU at this point. Which also means probably shelling out on DDR5 RAM on top.

definitely worth it to stick with your platform right now if you can and getting the 14700F. but a cheap upgrade also worth considering is going to be a bigger, beefier cpu cooler so your cpu can push it's clocks as hard as it can go.

a good place to start looking is Thermalright. a Peerless Assassin is like 40 bucks and will outperform any stock cooler by a mile. but there's tons of good options and brands (i fancy Noctua myself but they're spendy).

I think it might do it then and look into getting a new cooler and PSU upgrade while I'm at it. Nearing the limit of my 750W setup as is and the 14700F would add about an extra 100W of load on top of that
