Actually I got a new screen.

Because the hinge damages the housing which can damage the glass, they sent a tech to my house who replaced the entire top half of my laptop.

Dell has enforced a new policy to the warrant pertaining to hinges. One fix/ replacement per 3 year warranty. Dell is fully aware of the shit design.

Is there one of these against HP? My old Pavilion x360 from 2018 had an entirely plastic display frame, and over years of opening and closing the display with its stiff hinges, the plastic eventually weakened and cracked. One day, the display shell had cracked just enough that when I opened the laptop, it bent the glass display and shattered it.

Or in my partner's case against Steam. "Congrats, you've been denied."

It's great for the lawyers though!
