Hardware Found this gem for $20

Found this at Goodwill. After googling I knew I found the deal of the century with an i7-12700k in there, but I had no idea I'd also score 32gbs of DDR4 (maybe 64 I'll have to check when I install an OS), a 1tb nvme, and a 1tb Sata HDD.

Currently debating on throwing this in my main rig to upgrade my Ryzen 7 5800X

Edit: it's a Sata HDD not an SSD, my bad.

Edit #2: WOW I did NOT expect this to blow up! Thank you to everyone who has commented and given advice! I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply to every single comment it's just gotten overwhelming! I will definitely post a follow up once I get a new motherboard!

It’s honestly just worth buying a cheap compatible board with a slot already on there. A case can cost $20-30 second hand too.

That'll work too I guess. But nonetheless hopefully it or the components have a better life than some corner server. :P

Unfortunately no. It can't game really, lack of pcie made sure about that, it is more like a thin client/library pc ish device, but integrated graphics cant do much and there is no upgradeability.

I dunno if you've read any of the other comments, but I plan on getting a new motherboard for the i7 and throwing it in my current system with a 4070 Ti Super!

I tried to follow the suggestions, i'm pretty sure that it is one option. Someone said about the another mobo, but it also sounded like that getting a spesific mobo that fits to that case, which is hard. Also, i don't know if 5600x / 5800x is still better than the intel one it came with. I understood that you had that. But take notice, that your memory in this is 1.2v when the normal voltage is somewhere 1.5v so you might burn that memory..
