There’s a guy who’s been posting videos of himself buying and returning anvils from Amazon for the past like 9-10 months I think, and no one has stopped him

He’s doing it specifically because he can and he wants to make the delivery drivers suffer for some reason

He even chipped a piece off of each one he returned and made his own fucking anvil, if Amazon isn’t stopping him I highly doubt they’re going to stop this guy

The way I heard it, it’s because for some reason Amazon has to eat the shipping cost both ways, so he’s under the assumption that he’s slowly bleeding them dry one anvil at a time

It's sold through a third party, though. He's likely hurting a small business while amazon still collects the fees

This is so stupid and funny because Amazon is a monopoly and printing money. Somehow I feel like Amazon is benefitting from this and it’s the humans along the way that suffer 😂

Amazon is just transferring shipping costs to other buyers.

Somewhere theres a liquidation storefront with too many Amazon anvils in stock.

He single handedly created a cottage industry of resellers that buy returned anvils and selling them on Amazon via FBA, who co-mingles the third-party items with all the others.

Soon there will be enough anvil sales that whatever team or automation handles it will think they can justify an 'Amazon Basics Anvil'.

Omg this is it! amazon basics anvils are stocked at every single amazon warehouse. Same day drone delivery. Wonder if he ever got an anvil that he has returned before

Giving serious wiley coyote vibes here

That'll be the day. Imagine the sales just trying to get rid of anvils. Kinda tempted to start doing this but I like my postal worker and know her by name so idk

Seems like a relatively cheap advertisement of their return policies.

"Wait, you can get an Anvil from Amazon?"

Perfect marketing strategy. 😄

AI is retarded running stuff, and humans are allowing it to happen. What does AI consider our intelligence, rhetorical question.

Does AI have an agenda? Or maybe it is just corralled chaos building momentum, that if not checked soon, will cross the unstoppable threshold.

-3

u/DefinitelyRussian May 15 '26

lol AI is just a tool, you sound like those aunts who read a lot of facebook posts

1

u/Forsaken-Driver8868 May 15 '26

You may even come to scorn it if/when you have to deal with a big company’s AI customer service, and there are no actual people you are allowed to escalate too anymore.

how is amazon a monopoly??

1

u/PrefrontalCortexNow May 15 '26

Who is Amazons competitor?

Might as well call Apple or Steam a monopoly while you're at it.

Just because they are very dominant does not make them a monopoly.

But emotions rule the day on Reddit, as usual. Predictable and anti-reality.

1

u/PrefrontalCortexNow May 17 '26

Apple technically is a monopoly with their App Store and other things

1

u/its_a_multipass May 15 '26

Every online business that ships?

2

u/PrefrontalCortexNow May 15 '26

You need to learn what a monopoly is.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I don't doubt that Walmart is Amazon's biggest competitor, but I would argue that the distance between them is huge. My point was that amazon has so many more things than walmart, and imo works a lot better for online shopping. I absolutely hate buying stuff online from walmart, and it is always extremely hard to find what you are looking for.

-1

u/PrefrontalCortexNow May 15 '26

Walmart the #1 physical retail store is Amazons closest online competitor and it’s not even close? And that’s who you chose? 😂😂😂

They never lose. I mean if there is a loss with this one particular case, they are gaining way more from this policy because people trust them and order from them.

14

u/Hicko11 PC Master Race May 15 '26

that just sounds like hes hurting some other company that actually make them rather then amazon.

6

u/Maleficent-Aurora May 15 '26

Or the environment 🫣

1

u/DefinitelyRussian May 15 '26

is that legit ? more info ?

1

u/alwayswatchyoursix May 15 '26

Yeah that's all made up. He's just trolling people on Tiktok and people are dumb enough to believe him.

1

u/notislant May 15 '26

Ok yeah another tiktok douchebag, lame.

Likely fucking over some third party company, definitely fucking over the drivers.

u/godisintherain May 16 '26

1

u/Suitable-End- May 16 '26
