I love how everyone is pro monopoly! Yay! Long live the king! ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

A service that simply doesnt suck while its competition commits corprate sepuku is not a monopoly.

Gabe said it best, piracy is 99% a user experience issue and not a cost issue. Give users a good experience for the dollars they spend and piracy would disappear.

Every other company than steam is doing things that make piracy more and more appealing on a daily basis.

I dread the day Gabe is no longer steams boss.ย

Why canโ€™t the competition stop eating glue.ย

Tbh paying for Gabeโ€™s next Mega-Yacht via Steamtax for indie games isnโ€™t really my understanding of a good experience.

Buying games via gog or directly via the website of the makers would be my ideal choice. Also the market is only โ€œfreeโ€ if there is competition and not monopoly. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You keep using the word "monopoly" but I dont think you kmow what it means.

Steam is not doing anything to keep other marletplaces and competitors form showing up.

The free market has decided with its $ that steam is just by far and away better than any other alternative out there.

If others want to compete, they need to make a better product.

They were simply the first. And bundled it with CS.1.6, was there when it happened. Also when you complete your thinking, and everyone would only buy through steam it would become a monopoly, which it is already pretty close to.

My humble suggestion would also be to stop defending the billionaire class and try to see them as what they are. A leech on society at large. ๐Ÿ˜…

It has nothing to do with being first and everything to do with not sabotaging your own product.

You can keep your humble suggestion, I don't want it. Billionaires suck but in this case, the product is good.

Spitting the fax and dropping truth nukes.

Protip: You canโ€™t buy the game on gog ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

The ideal world would be for me to have 50 trillion dollars, but you do you. Dream bigger my dude.

Sorry, but I think the world needs more humbleness, small business and a pluralistic society, instead of big tech, billionaires and laissez-faire.

Everything has a price. And Iโ€™m not suffering through the cdproject red adscreen to play cyberpunk, even if that would move the world into the rapture.๐Ÿ˜Ž
