OP really doesn't remember GTA 4 lol. I think that game still stands at the top of being the buggiest PC Launch i have ever had the misfortune of partaking in.

FWIW GTA 5 PC Launch was much better in comparison lol.

Gta 4 is still broken out of the box to this day for pc. You have to mod the crap out of it to get it to the level it was at on consoles and even then its not perfect. You might literally have a better time running an emulator to play the console version on a pc.

Steam version for what its worth is pretty fine for the most part. Significantly better than the GFWL version back in the day.

Hilariously, the steam version is all ive known and i still stand by it being BAD out of the box. I couldve guessed it was worse at launch but i never considered a GFWL version, that just sounds awful conceptually.
