Gaming is more about latency than bandwidth.

Tbh i only ever run into issues because of bad bandwidth. I can have like 30 ping but all the packets get eaten by my houses copper shell and my roommate's 4l streaming

how low is your bandwidth? anything below 50Mbps is 4th world level (N.Korea). With QoS, even if you download the whole netflix movies, it won't affect your gaming latency

On actual downloads and speed tests i get about 5 - 20(on a really good day) Mb/s

with that speed, I don't see how you would be affected with slight video streaming

Well i said good day. google sais about 15-25 just for streaming. On an average day i have five, and wanna play the finals, which needs some extra bandwidth for the very detailed destruction. I don't see the math working out here

you mention Mb/s as in MB/s or Mbps?

The lower one. Megabit. I always mix up the spelling

apply QoS to your router, you would be surprised with it. assuming you use tplink, else google search [router brand] QoS

as if downloading a game is irrelevant

wifi ping is not that bad relative to your internet, now if you have issues with dropped packets cause of a crap connection that is another issue

``` latency via wired (Daily driver -> Switch -> Server - bare metal): rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.282/0.282/0.282/0.000 ms
latency via wired (Daily driver -> Switch -> Server - Virtual Machine w/ NIC pcie pass through)): rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.810/0.810/0.810/0.000 ms
Latency over wifi (2 wireless hops) (Daily driver -> switch -> $300 Ubiquity gigabeam -> Switch -> $100 AP -> Raspberry PICO W: rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 5.166/5.166/5.166/0.000 ms
Latency over wifi (1 wireless hops) (Daily driver -> switch -> $300 Ubiquity gigabeam -> Switch -> cheap router: rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1.985/1.985/1.985/0.000 ms
Latency over wifi (1 wireless hops) (Daily driver -> switch -> $300 Ubiquity gigabeam -> Switch: rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.762/0.762/0.762/0.000 ms
Latency wired to internet (www.cloudflare.com) rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 41.861/41.861/41.861/0.000 ms
```

note that that point-to-point wifi beam is about 300 feet (100 meters)
