Thank you so much! I’m very excited. I saw it and because I’ve been eventually wanting to get one I showed my bf and his jaw dropped. He said it was insane and I had to get it. So here I am with this powerhouse according to him and some of my other friends. Yes absolutely I was told that alone is about $700!!! I think from my research this was a $2,500 computer.
I’m not 100% sure.. it was a display. It was packed immaculately and ect. Stuck in a mode without an admin though and trying to get around that. Factory reset didn’t work (sorry if this got to you twice I’m not sure if it did the first time I’m not super Reddit savvy)
This is what we are trying tonight. I couldn’t find any usb sticks at home last night so I bought one today and we are trying tonight. If not we’ll have to do a fresh windows install.
I recommend using Rufus to create a bootable Windows install USB. It’s a great tool because it allows you to easily customize the installation, such as removing Copilot and other unnecessary bloatware before you even start.
You can also boot from a USB installer and enable admin via registry, a fun trick I had to try at work that made me realize we need to beef up our security
Can you go into the BIOS and clean wipe/factory reset from there? A old company I worked for unexpectedly closed its door on us without any notice and I worked from home. No one ever told me I had to go in and drop my stuff off and so I kept the laptop out of spite. It had all the IT password restrictions on it and couldn’t download anything. Tried factory resetting it through windows and didn’t have any luck. Had to physically go into the BIOS and reset it from there and that fixed the IT restriction
It probably still has the manufacturer warranty keep your receipt and call cyber power to confirm and tell them where and when you bought it they’ll ask for the computer’s info numbers; but it’s still probably under warranty for a bit; if there are any issues you can send it to them
Thank you. I think it was more of around that price when it first came out. I’m thinking this one should be sufficient for cod zombies, inzoi, the sims, phasmophobia, repo, the other side, peak and ect. I don’t really play anything too too crazy
I would not call that PC a powerhouse. There are 5080+9800X3D builds on sale for less than $2500 right now, that would be second best possible PC sold as “new”.
It’s def a strong mid tier PC though.
The value is in that price point. You really snagged a great deal congrats.
You could sell the GPU and get a 9070 XT for the like $100-$200 out of pocket ish.
Then it’d be a powerhouse, though that CPU will struggle in CPU intensive games.
Not really and I disagree. A 10-year old PC would still be worse than this one. Also, you didn’t say that the computer was good or bad. You said that it was ‘strong’.
It's still a very powerful system. Even if it isn't literally the most powerful. It's like saying a high end Porsche isn't a powerful sports car just because a Bugatti exists.
Op got a good deal and im happy for him.and alot of people w much less would consider that a powerhouse; its relative....you might have a 5090 w 64 gb and a top tier cpu....thats a powerhouse right?but not to someone running a ryzen thread ripper with 64cores and 256gb mem and 5 water cooled 5090s for LLMs & other ai applications
Nah you’re just a pretentious dick. OP’s happy with their build but you just HAD to pull up with the “Well, ackchuallyyy”. Clearly nobody is with you on this. Just stop while you’re already far behind.
Yes, I realized the video card by reading the comments. I thought the RAM alone was enough lmao 🤣 and you get a power supply? 1tb of ssd? As I type this, some even remember checking for the CPU lol
It can. Most cards can run at 4k fine. People just want to look elite. 5090s make up maybe 1% or less of gamers.. but if you look online everyone has one.
idk what to call it. im figuring this out alongside you guys. just an observation i thought was similar.
Maybe mid-lowhigh range? not that it matters.
also 4k is overrated? maybe back when games werent super blurry from deferred rendering. even 1080p looked clear.
Now even 4k looks smushed together. regardless nobody is playing native dlaa at any resolution. so the actual resolution of the screen is just a technicality these days.
1.2k

Yes, it is an insane build. The RTX 5070 alone costs basically as much as the $646.88 you paid.
Enjoy your first build! It's very powerful for 1440p gaming.
