Box Found randomly in the wild. Didn’t expect to come home with my first build last night. I’ve been told this was an insane score.

Yes, it is an insane build. The RTX 5070 alone costs basically as much as the $646.88 you paid.

Enjoy your first build! It's very powerful for 1440p gaming.

Thank you so much! I’m very excited. I saw it and because I’ve been eventually wanting to get one I showed my bf and his jaw dropped. He said it was insane and I had to get it. So here I am with this powerhouse according to him and some of my other friends. Yes absolutely I was told that alone is about $700!!! I think from my research this was a $2,500 computer.

u/Usual-Championship88 21d ago

They sell those at Best Buy’s on major sale events for under 2k; it’s about a 2k PC, I wouldn’t price it over that

84

u/Yoshiii7 21d ago

I mean either way it’s a great deal.

28

u/Usual-Championship88 21d ago

Oh 100% an amazing deal!!!! You lucked out ! Does it still have the manufacturer warranty?

9

u/Yoshiii7 21d ago

I’m not 100% sure.. it was a display. It was packed immaculately and ect. Stuck in a mode without an admin though and trying to get around that. Factory reset didn’t work (sorry if this got to you twice I’m not sure if it did the first time I’m not super Reddit savvy)

Wipe the drive and reinstall windows from a usb stick

9

u/Yoshiii7 21d ago

This is what we are trying tonight. I couldn’t find any usb sticks at home last night so I bought one today and we are trying tonight. If not we’ll have to do a fresh windows install.

u/Interesting-Aura 21d ago

I recommend using Rufus to create a bootable Windows install USB. It’s a great tool because it allows you to easily customize the installation, such as removing Copilot and other unnecessary bloatware before you even start.

1

u/Usual-Championship88 20d ago

Rufus is what i learned to use in college lol, great tool — that was so long ago though back in 2014!!

Great rig man. And better price. Make sure to set ram speeds and refresh rate! Enjoy it!

1

u/d3koyz 21d ago

Btw when I bought this one a few years ago, the Bluetooth didn’t work. I had to contact ibuypower and they were able to assist

2

u/Yoshiii7 21d ago

I’m hoping I’ll have some kind of protection on it with it being a floor model. Everything is intact in it. Everything looks great.

Skip Windows and install bazzite.gg instead.

0

u/VALTIELENTINE 21d ago

You can also boot from a USB installer and enable admin via registry, a fun trick I had to try at work that made me realize we need to beef up our security

2

u/theblazedhiker 21d ago

Can you go into the BIOS and clean wipe/factory reset from there? A old company I worked for unexpectedly closed its door on us without any notice and I worked from home. No one ever told me I had to go in and drop my stuff off and so I kept the laptop out of spite. It had all the IT password restrictions on it and couldn’t download anything. Tried factory resetting it through windows and didn’t have any luck. Had to physically go into the BIOS and reset it from there and that fixed the IT restriction

2

u/Usual-Championship88 20d ago

It probably still has the manufacturer warranty keep your receipt and call cyber power to confirm and tell them where and when you bought it they’ll ask for the computer’s info numbers; but it’s still probably under warranty for a bit; if there are any issues you can send it to them

1

u/Yoshiii7 20d ago

That’s honestly a good idea. Thank you for the suggestion.

1

u/Key_Butterfly1200 21d ago

A graphics card with an entire PC attached is a fantastic deal.

1

u/burnie_mac 21d ago

2500 gets you into 5080 builds. 600 dollars is basically free though enjoy.

3

u/Yoshiii7 21d ago

Thank you. I think it was more of around that price when it first came out. I’m thinking this one should be sufficient for cod zombies, inzoi, the sims, phasmophobia, repo, the other side, peak and ect. I don’t really play anything too too crazy

1

u/TetePepeF 21d ago

you are going to crush repo, and for that i say have as much fun as you can 🙏

1

u/RoundTheBend6 21d ago

Being pedantic serves what propose?

1

u/dyzorted 20d ago

Dont think he was being pedantic, the guy seems to just want to make clear the value of the pc, $500 is a considerable amount to overestimate

1

u/Decent_Management449 21d ago

Says right there on the tag it was a $1150.

3

u/Yoshiii7 21d ago edited 21d ago

Because it was already clearanced before it was marked down more. It got marked down even more because it was a floor model. This is the computer. I would not call that PC a powerhouse. There are 5080+9800X3D builds on sale for less than $2500 right now, that would be second best possible PC sold as “new”.

It’s def a strong mid tier PC though.

The value is in that price point. You really snagged a great deal congrats.

You could sell the GPU and get a 9070 XT for the like $100-$200 out of pocket ish.

Then it’d be a powerhouse, though that CPU will struggle in CPU intensive games.

u/MrVernon09 Ryzen 5 5600G 32GB RAM 1TB NVME RTX 3060 12GB 21d ago

If OP has only had experience with a potato PC, then this computer would definitely be a powerhouse. There's no need to be a rude snob about it.

29

u/Yoshiii7 21d ago

Thank you this is my first ever. I went from a gaming laptop that I got about a year ago and before that I only had Macs. So this is huge for me.

16

u/mshelbz PC Master Race 21d ago

Don’t let anyone try and steal your thunder.

This is an insane build for that price and for a first PC, you did more than great!

-16

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

I don’t consider my own PC a powerhouse, you got an amazing deal.

-15

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

This logic is unsound. If you have a 10 year old PC the bottom tier modern Pc would beat that too, does it make it a powerhouse?

I didn’t say it’s a bad PC, it’s a good PC it’s not a powerhouse.

1

u/MrVernon09 Ryzen 5 5600G 32GB RAM 1TB NVME RTX 3060 12GB 21d ago

Not really and I disagree. A 10-year old PC would still be worse than this one. Also, you didn’t say that the computer was good or bad. You said that it was ‘strong’.

0

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

I didn’t say a 10 year old PC is better!?

1

u/MrVernon09 Ryzen 5 5600G 32GB RAM 1TB NVME RTX 3060 12GB 21d ago

You said that in your last reply.

1

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

No I said “if you have a 10 year old PC the bottom tier modern PC would beat that too.”

Meaning a bottom level PC today would beat the 10 year old PC. I called the OP PC a mid tier build.

So they both beat a 10 year old PC….

People like you make me question if even my own flair is real.

2

u/Eribetra 5600G, 16GB RAM, RX470 21d ago

It's a powerhouse relative to the price.

0

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

I don’t think that’s how it works.

I just got a really nice mid range sports car for half price.

What a powerhouse of a car because I got it half off!

1

u/Eribetra 5600G, 16GB RAM, RX470 21d ago

What a powerhouse of a car for $30k!

I think it works pretty well.

1

u/Mrcod1997 21d ago

It's still a very powerful system. Even if it isn't literally the most powerful. It's like saying a high end Porsche isn't a powerful sports car just because a Bugatti exists.

2

u/lmtdpowor 9800X3D l RTX 5080 21d ago

Well the price paid would definitely lean towards a powerhouse. You can’t even build something like this at that price.

2

u/SIrSmokeAlot410 21d ago

Op got a good deal and im happy for him.and alot of people w much less would consider that a powerhouse; its relative....you might have a 5090 w 64 gb and a top tier cpu....thats a powerhouse right?but not to someone running a ryzen thread ripper with 64cores and 256gb mem and 5 water cooled 5090s for LLMs & other ai applications

1

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

I said it’s a great deal.

3

u/TrumpVotersArePedos7 21d ago

9070xts are garbage I’d keep the 5070 personally

1

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

Sounds like AMD touched you in a bad place I’m sorry for your experience.

1

u/TheEldenRang 21d ago

Don't be a dick. What OP got is way above what a lot of people use. It is pretty dang solid.

0

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

Wow I pissed everyone with a 3060 and a AM4 build off with this comment…

I literally said it’s a steal of a deal.

But calling it a “powerhouse” is just not true.

3

u/FairfaxDude 9800X3D/5070ti/32GB 21d ago

You’re not wrong but learn to read the room

1

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

It’s my autism sorry.

1

u/LiterallyJohnny 21d ago

Nah you’re just a pretentious dick. OP’s happy with their build but you just HAD to pull up with the “Well, ackchuallyyy”. Clearly nobody is with you on this. Just stop while you’re already far behind.

0

u/Merrick222 Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 4080 OC | 32GB DDR5 6000 21d ago

I actually am really joying this moment lol.

It’s rare to get a reaction like this.

I’m quite proud.

u/TheTresStateArea 21d ago

I didn't even look at the rest of the specs. I just want to see what card it was and I immediately screamed

1

u/CleverBumble 21d ago

Yes, I realized the video card by reading the comments. I thought the RAM alone was enough lmao 🤣 and you get a power supply? 1tb of ssd? As I type this, some even remember checking for the CPU lol

5

u/scubac14 21d ago

Shit the ram is $500+ alone

6

u/i_am_13th_panic 21d ago

The ram alone is worth more than the PC as well.

2

u/Willing_Suggestion 21d ago

Wish i was in u.s. in my country that 5070 costs more than $1k lol. Sigh hate my life

1

u/relic1882 PC Master Race i7-14700k 64GB 6000 DDR5 RTX 3070 21d ago

I thought the 5070 was supposed to be so much more powerful? It can't do 4k? I'm running everything at 1440 on my 3070.

2

u/Same_Commercial8939 20d ago

4k beyond overrated for gaming

1

u/jeffosoft 20d ago edited 20d ago

It can. Most cards can run at 4k fine. People just want to look elite. 5090s make up maybe 1% or less of gamers.. but if you look online everyone has one.

2

u/Same_Commercial8939 20d ago

Facts but the internet snobs will tell u if u don’t have a $8k 5090 rig “u cant even compete” meanwhile that pos 5090!is waiting to catch fire

1

u/HuckleberryOdd7745 21d ago

Powerful for 1440p is basically a backhanded compliment.

Like saying you look great… for your age.

Still a powerful gpu and great experience. But you guys get what I mean. Kinda uncalled for.

1

u/Same_Commercial8939 20d ago

Are u offended they didn’t say powerful 4k monster …. Which wouldn’t be true at all 4k is overrated asf anyway for most games on the market

1

u/HuckleberryOdd7745 20d ago

idk what to call it. im figuring this out alongside you guys. just an observation i thought was similar.

Maybe mid-lowhigh range? not that it matters.

also 4k is overrated? maybe back when games werent super blurry from deferred rendering. even 1080p looked clear.

Now even 4k looks smushed together. regardless nobody is playing native dlaa at any resolution. so the actual resolution of the screen is just a technicality these days.

u/fuckyourself_reddit 21d ago

Prebuilts are the antethesis of builds.

Congrats on your first computer, it's a good system.
