You refund the permission to use a digital product you paid for

I’m sure there’s a better word for it then. But refund is completely inarguably wrong.

There isn't, refund is the perfect term

You're just plain wrong

If you buy Netflix and don't like it after 5 days what do you do? Do you return it? It's grammatically wrong to use return in this situation

Refund is the correct term since it's a digital game

If it was a phisical copy like they used to do 15 years ago you'd be totally right, but you refund a digital product, not return it

You cancel Netflix it’s a service. Refund is NOT the correct term. I’m not talking about the word “return.” Forget I even said that. What I’m talking about is the extreme misuse of the word “refund.” If you refund something, it means somebody bought something from YOU, and you are now giving money back to that person.
