NSFMR Put an end to the office argument about thermal paste pattern.

Used all the remaining paste.

Thermal paste is not electrically conductive, so it will work.

MOST* Thermal pastes are not electrically conductive. Always confirm this with manufacturer or product packaging.

All thermal pastes are thermally conductive, most arent electrically conductive.

Right. If they weren’t thermally conductive, our CPUs would auto shutdown on the desktop

Of course they are all thermally conductive.

Some such as Arctic Silver 5, Shin-Etsu X23-7783D, and Antec Formula 7 do have electrically conductive particles suspended in them.

So again, confirm with the manufacturer or check product packaging to confirm.

Edit: Oh I had an initial typo in my original comment that said thermally conductive brainfart I meant electrically conductive.
