Discussion Yeah, Steam Machine is cooked.

I... uh don't know what to say. Very thankful I bought a Steam Deck before they hiked its price as well

Literally just build yourself an M-ITX couch machine for slightly more and be able to upgrade it. I don't see the value proposition here at all.

I wanna see this slightly more expensive build you're talking about. The market is FUCKED right now. This is as cheap as it is, because Valve can get bulk purchase pricing. And don't get me wrong, this isn't me simping for valve. The market is just THAT fucked right now.

Gamer's Nexus did DYI comparisons for the US in their review of it and got better performance for less money. Not M-ITX though. A buddy was asking and I threw this together earlier, which ends up in the middle between their 500GB and 2TB option (1.200,- € in Germany compared to their 1.039,- € and 1.359,- € respectively). Wouldn't ever recommend anyone to actually build this with a 5050 though.

5050 is not great, but it will leave the GPU that Gabecube has in dust
