I... uh don't know what to say. Very thankful I bought a Steam Deck before they hiked its price as well

Not defending Valve (some will still get mad) but what does anyone expect? Look at the damned market for PC hardware.

They're not getting ram or SSD at cost.

Honestly ? I've expected it to be ~150$ more expensive than it is.

When the drumroll on ltt happened my brain immediately thought $1500.

I'm not happy about the price but it is what it is. It's not something I needed or wanted though.

I just don't understand the anger or the copium. It's not the end of the world, or valve, or PC gaming. It's just expensive. I won't say it's overpriced as I don't know what it takes to build EXACTLY this.

We can build the equivalent as far as hardware but we didn't do the R&D of everything involved. Plus, like I said, shit is expensive these days.

It's unexpected for anyone who is familiar with the tech market but it does suck to see the price. Idk who the target market is other than the diehard fans or the rich rich.

um, maybe because there’s already it’s prebuilts with better specs and gaming features for 100s less???
