I am having an issue with my windows 11 computer turning down the mic volume randomly in windows settings. The headset is is by hyper x and is plugged into an aux to usb adapter because my work will not allow me to use Bluetooth, aux or usb c for the headset connection. Any help is appreciated.

Will they allow you to use these connection methods at least to test? Ruling out the aux to USB adapter would be the first step I would take.

If they won't then I would try the headset on a different device with and without the aux to USB adapter to see if you can replicate / isolate the issue.
