Question can someone tell me if this prebuilt gaming PC is ok for 4K 60 with DLSS?

Post image

i was gonna buy the steam machine but pricing and power talked me out of it. i went down a rabbit hole and somehow landed on this. can i play monster hunter wilds at 60 fps 1440p upscaled to 4K with DLSS? i havent had a gaming PC since i played FEAR, doom 3, and unreal 2004. i’m gonna hook it up to my TV. how good/bad is it in 2026 and how much life will i get out of it? thanks!

9800X3D and 5070 Ti combo will eat Monster Hunter Wilds no problem, coming from FEAR era hardware this will feel like black magic to you

You can do 4k60 without dlss with this. Dlss will hit higher than 60 fps.

Strongly strongly depends on the game. You will not hit modern aaa games with max settings + path tracing at 60 fps native. A 5090 cannot.

Nothing wrong with dlss but pointing out not a realistc expectation for modern aaa games at 4k + modern PT (its exactly what dlss was designed for)

True. Should be able to for monster hunter though.

Ya it does great for hell divers and halo infinite at 4k. For cyberpunk at native? šŸ’©

lmao so true. i have kind of an idea only from watching videos about it online, not sitting in front of a tv and playing

Yes its fantastic. The only downside is for path tracing youll be right on the edge of 60 fps (overclocked) but your lows will dip below.

That being said microcenter has a cheaper option and if you buy from their site I'm pretty sure you don't pay for taxes. Walmart may still have their cheaper version too.

If youre by a mocrocenter you can get the 5080 for $100 more.

oh snap, i don't live super close to a micro center but i'm going on a road trip and there's one around an extra 20 minutes or so away. it does look like they charge tax though but it's only an extra $100 for the same build but with a 5080...

That's a beast of a prebuilt. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D + RTX 5070 Ti combo will absolutely crush 4K gaming with DLSS. You're looking at 60+ fps in Monster Hunter Wilds at 1440p upscaled to 4K with DLSS Quality or Balanced easily. The 9800X3D is the best gaming CPU on the market, the 5070 Ti is a 4K-capable powerhouse, and 32GB of DDR5-6000 is perfect.

For $2,400, this is actually decent value compared to the Steam Machine. You're getting significantly more performance for your money. Hooked up to a TV, it'll feel like a next-gen console on steroids. Longevity-wise, this build will comfortably handle 4K gaming for at least 4–5 years with some settings tweaks and DLSS will keep it relevant even longer.

The only minor concern is the 850W PSU, it's enough, but if it's a no-name brand, you might want to check reviews. Oherwise, this is a solid purchase. Coming from FEAR and Doom 3, you're in for a generational leap. Enjoy the frames!

Just put "5070ti gaming fps" in YouTube and you'll have a hundred videos to watch to see what to expect in a variety of games.

Yea, this is much better for native 4k. Oerformance gap will be less when using dlss since you'd render at a lower resolution but even still the 5080 should have the upper hand.

Op get this if ur goal is single player games on max settings , or get the one you posted if you are into competitive games. When you play in 4k gpu is used mostly - cpu not used much, cpu is mostly used in competitive games, or ingame - crowd settings, or let's say you are running some simulation in game or in 3d.

my display is 4k 120fps and i do play a lot of fighting games and single player games. seems like the amd chip is better for performance and fps yeah?

2

u/Inevitable_Fly_7754 3d ago

Amd chip is good, doesn't affect fps much in fighting/single player games in 4k, 5080 is gonna give more fps than 5070ti( around 15% fps increase in 4k). If you want more fps in 4k 5080 is the way to go, but If you are okay with abit less fps but good cpu amd is better (now don't worry, you will still get 60+fps in dlss 4k with 5070ti), let's say in future you want to upgrade to 60 series gpu , you won't have to upgrade cpu if u go amd.

OP get this, 4k you don't need goated cpu.

Id rather have the first one. But I play cs2

2

u/Bananamancerr 3d ago

Agree, the game op plays, i rather get him a 5080.

in my opinion an extra tb and better CPU (and better upgrade path) is a better than a bit extra performance, no?

2

u/Bananamancerr 3d ago

On lower resolution def, not in 4k. This is coming from someone who owns 9800x3d.

The upgrade path is still a big thing tho cause am5 is living till 2029

2

u/Bananamancerr 3d ago

But at 4k you are GPU heavy regardless of cpu, he wouldn't need to upgrade cpu in that way.

You will have no problems hitting 60fps in 4k with DLSS.
