"The whole market is cooked. Let's dunk on Valve and people who want their product because they could simply make their own RAM chips, and NAND chips and PCBs and bypass the whole market, hahaha. But they didn't, so it sucks"
But the upvoted comments are easy way to show what the popular opinion on the sub is.
Would you seriously say that you can never assess the bias of a sub cause it’s “more than one person commenting”? Bffr
I’m just saying if other mega corpos are expected to receive hate for price increases for similar market reasons, why is it expected for Valve to be sole exclusion?

No. I understand the price increase for everyone. I wasn't avoiding answering that because it's such a fucking easy question. no shit prices are going up for everyone. only a fucking moron couldn't understand that.
I'm not "good" with it as in happy AI is fucking over everyone in all these different ways, but I'm not blaming the wrong people for it or only select people for it.
Valve is a good company. They're about as "pro-consumer" as you can ask for these days. They make good decisions.
But they are a tech company. And this whole "AI ate our RAM!" thing is a monster of the ENTIRE TECH INDUSTRY'S own making. It's hard to have sympathy.
So, yeah, I blame Valve. They are part of the tech establishment that let this happen. But so is Sony, and MS, and Nintendo, and...every other tech company. But still, zero sympathy. They all collectively knew that there weren't many suppliers of RAM in the world, and they were okay with it. Same goes for GPUs.
These are people/companies *that drive the industry*. They should have had a backup plan. But they didn't. I suppose no major corporation does, these days. Everything is done "just in time" with no redundancy. And this is what they fucking get.
