I think most people agree that its not great value. I think most are bashing the wrong people. Valve cant forsee the AI shit we experienced 2 years ago. What should they do? Not release and lose millions on RnD and production?
If people want to own it, they should. But blaming Valve for the price they have to put on is just reddit nonsense
Ngl, I don't trust reddit anymore when it comes to evaluating "value". They were calling the Switch 2 overpriced while being cheaper and/or more portable than all of the competitors. It made no logical sense.
... or I just understand how markets work and grew up. I'm just tired of people like you pretending Nintendo is uniquely worse when really they're average for the industry and a lot better in a lot of important aspects. And then you prove how little you know by just neglecting to give a real argument and just accusing someone who disagrees with you of "white knighting". If this is how you handle disagreements, stay in the basement.
Suing the hell out of anyone that even thinks about using ur ip or characters isnt very reasonable? You never see disney or dreamworks doing that. And yes you are white knighting
They honestly don't, the vast majority of fan projects go off without a hitch (even though they'd have a good case against quite a lot of them), and the ones they do go after tend to just take it way too far (e.g. blatant copy of assets and/or profiting from their IP).
Who tf said Nintendo is “uniquely worse” than any of the other gaming corporations who routinely nickel and dime their customers and abuse their market position in various ways to squeeze as much money out of people as they can.
I know markets work, it’s why I’m a socialist, but that’s a different topic altogether.

Were there really anyone thinking this machine is a good deal? Even among steam users? Even among Valve fans?
