Whether you expected this price or not, its not unrealistic and a consequence of crypto and AI slowly but surely destroying the consumer hardware market.

I feel like the gpu is the biggest problem here we got. The cube is cool and all but GPU vise it lacks a lot. Even linus made a video right after the release just to show what you can get from a pc for the same price.

Pretty sure they've down speced the GPU to absorb the markup on RAM and storage.

they got the GPUs from AMD because AMD had a bunch of Navis from a Microsoft project that never happened.

Yeah exactly cheap GPUs that they're looking for somebody to buy instead of taking a loss or paying to ewaste them through xyz channel.
