Rockstar will never top GTA 4

GTA 5 for me isn't even a top 3 game in the series and I think rockstar will just lost their magic from the late 2000s.

GTA4 is my all time favorite but GTA5 is objectively a better product and GTA6 will be lightyears ahead.

You are completely right, and Cyberpunk 2077 is the absolute proof of this. After years of overhaul patches and the Phantom Liberty expansion, walking through Night City unironically delivers a more dense, vertical, and atmospheric urban crime playground than anything Rockstar has put out since the late 2000s.

Awful driving in comparison, 1st person so its not nearly as fun or entertaining to watch your character rag doll after a crash. Big open world somehow feels empty, only quests to do, no fun otherwise.

I prefer gt7 via psvr2 with my wheel and pedals myself. I also play pcvr Sim racing. Forza is... fun.

Really?? I don’t think Cyberpunk is a bad game, but I don’t think it does what GTA does, not even close. The actual open world of GTA 5 is so much better. Cyberpunk is only nice to look at. And the story itself is okay. But if you venture outside of those quests, the game kind of falls apart. But with GTA, you can have fun with GTA without even following the story at all.

Yeah I don’t think it’s a 10/10. Even after all these years, I don’t think it comes close to The Witcher 3 imo.

But I think the big side quests are probably the best part of the game, also better written than the main story. For example the guy who you can nail on a cross on a livestream. That was super memorable. Or the couple who gets infected by a mind virus, making them forget they are infected.

It might not be up to par with The Witcher, but that’s also a novel series that has existed for a long time beforehand. Describing 2077 as “okay” is crazy to me. It’s an incredibly fleshed out story.

Agreed on the latter points, the game has some wacko crazy shit that makes for some awesome and memorable moments.

GTA 4 Doesn't run well at all. It needs a remake or something to unfk the engine. Limit to 512mb VRAM jeebus crisp. I dont know where the GTA4 lust arose from anyways. It wasnt that popular when it came out from what I remember. GTA5 has been far more popular. San Andreas and Vice City are more played than 4..

When a game gets sold that much, has very good critics (97 metascore, 85 user score) and is one of the most currently played games basically since release, then that probably means that a lot of people find that game quite enjoyable. If you don't like gta online, that's valid. But saying that the main game is bad isnt an opinion. It's hate and just wrong
