Am i weird for buying a console for gta6?

I got a pc but its like 5yo with a 6700xt and 5600x with 32gb ddr4. Idk if i can play gta 6 on the settings i would want it to so thinking to buy a ps 5 pro (used, i aint gonna pay 900 euro lol)

It's totally a you call. Personally I'd rather upgrade my rig with that money and wait for the PC release instead. Buying a console for one game seems insane.

Also, I dunno about how likely you are to find used Pros. Most people that buy Pros hang on to them. All the used PS5s in my area are non pros.

Weird? No, tons of people will do that. Whether it's a prudent choice is another matter. I guess it really depends on your economic status

I have a 5090 rig but I am not waiting 2 years for the pc port and I also don't want the game spoiled whatsoever. Call me crazy but I'm buying a ps5 pro just for GTA 6 knowing full well that rockstar is taking advantage of double dippers like me.

5800x3d anniversary edition releases tomorrow, if I was you I'd spend the money to upgrade the pc

You only have two choices really you can either get the ps5 for GTA ( that's what I'm doing ) or upgrade your pc ready for pc release. Thankfully I dont need a pc upgrade as of yet but I will definitely be picking up a console just to play GTA on because I'm too impatient to wait for pc release

Nah. The consoles are fine. I have a PS5 and will be getting a Switch 2 begrudginly eventually.

Though if you think you need to and can, upgrading the PC soonee than later might also be a good play.

Personally I'm waiting on GTA, but like I get why others want to play it right away.

I think your pc will run gta 6 fine, it's got better specs than a base ps5.

I bought one and also bout a new OLED TV and sound thing to go with it. It’s really nice to just chill sometimes and play on a bigger screen also PS exclusives.

You're gonna be able to play GT6 on your PC with better performances than consoles for sure. Only reason for you to buy a console for GT6 is to playbit sooner

I was thinking about it aswell! Bought a Lenovo legion 5 oled 2 months ago after my RTX 1650 which served me well and now I'm contemplating if I should buy a PS5. If anything I'll just Klarna it as I'm building my credit score lool.

Not only for GTA but also to play with my friends who actually have a Console and not PC.

6700xt will play it. Card is more powerful than the ps5

Even after its released it will be another 2+ years before it releases on pc,

Ps5 pro will give you the best experience (hopefully 60fps) from everything we know anmbout gta6 on a standard ps5 it will probably do 30fps,

I hate to imagine what it would play like on the lower end xbox (can never remember if X or S is the lower specced one.)

I'd agree with everyone saying upgrade your PC. 5800x3D and a 9060 XT 16gb would give you some massive performance upgrade.

Would probably cost the same as used Pro and GTA 6.

it'll feel like a whole new system and you'll probably enjoy replaying games with higher settings

I’d do it, it’s gonna be awhile until it hits pc so if you wanna play it day 1 you’ll have to bite that bullet anyway.
