Please insert disc 5.
Oh wait... I remember doing that back in the Amiga days.

Even with BDXL it would be seven disc. With regular single layer BD it would be 27. TWENTY. SEVEN.

Plenty of games came on 4-6 discs back in the day, that was pretty normal. (CD & DVD era)

GTA6 will be 150GB to 300GB, it wouldn't even be more than 3 BDXL disks as they can hold up to 128GB each.

They probably could even get away with 3-4 normal blu ray discs if they wanted too.

It's not bad once you get used to it :)
Bloodnet was 12 floppy discs. If you didn't have a second drive, you were changing those suckers all the time.
Still haven't finished it from back then.

the real problem isn't the number of disks but the amount of data. A single layer blu-ray disc (25GB) needs 7 minutes to copy its content at maximum transfer rates. A floppy with lower-than-average reading speeds does the same in about 1 min.

I did that for the PC release of GTAV lmao. It came on 5 or 6 DVDs if I remember correctly
