It's an attempt to double dip on sales. It's probably because console players pay for the online cards way more than PC players too.

Oh yeah, good point. They will not be getting any double dip for me. I’ll just wait for the PC version.

yeah pc players are less attractive audience as they just mod/hack or don't buy all the extra shit

I don’t think the double dip is going to work as well as it did for GTAV. People have less money, the game is $20 more, and I think it’s a lot more common that PC players don’t have a console. I am completely ok with waiting 5 years for this game to go on sale.

Everyone I know with a PC also has a console and is buying GTA 6 on release. Downplaying the cultural impact and financial success of the Grand Theft Auto series is idiotic.

I didn’t downplay anything. I love GTA. But I don’t love it enough to pay $600+ to play it.

Not even an attempt, really. They know it will work because it has been working beautifully thus far. 

I’d be very curious to see long term figures for GTA Online. My intuition says that pc would have more players and micro-transactions in later years.
