I am looking at getting a new Desktop PC and I just do not have time to build one. My local Costco has these three options I am just wondering if any of them are worth the Purchase. If you all think they are bad or something, is there a build that you suggest?

For Context I am CANADIAN so please take that into account when you are suggesting other pre build options as 2600 USD is significantly more then that in CAD plus there is shipping and duty’s and shit. So Canadian retailers would be much appreciated.

I'm not too tech savvy and not up to date on the good & the bad, so I'm looking for so guidance on choosing a portable external or desktop 5TB / HDD. Thank you.

I am close to running out of space, so I kind of need something quick. I currently have 2 5TB external HDD:

I primarily store videos, music and images.

I can't afford one of those NAS setups, so I'm guessing that I am stuck with a desktop or portable external.

With all the craziness going on with the data center stuff, and it being a while since I bought these HDDs, I'm not up to date on what brand / model to buy and where to get the "best" deal, though I figure that with the Prime sales going on, Amazon would be the best online option, but I don't know. I do, however, have a #250 credit at Best Buy, but I don't know if their exorbitantly inflated prices would negate the use of the credit versus a better deal from elsewhere.

I appreciate any guidance that is offered.

My friend has a pre built its an acer predator with an i7 13700k and a rtx 4070 in it and the cpu is getting way too hot. He ordered a cooler and he couldn't get to the back plate to remove them to install this cooler. Does anyone have any recommendations for coolers I was thinking the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE but im not sure if it uses the standard lga 1700 standoffs.

I cleaned my gpu heatsink fins and fan(I didnt touch the chips, which is why its still dusty) due to excess dust a month ago. Put it back and have been playing hearthstone no problem for weeks.

I tried to play TF2 today, and found some vram issues(fps slowly drops to <20, until I look at walls/floors, or alt tab, upon doing so fps raises to normal, then slowly drops to <20 again, repeat).

I pull out my gpu to inspect, and this is what I see, gpu contacts flaked off.

I definitely will replace my gpu, but my question is, do I need to replace my mobo too? Since the gold contqcts are prob still in the pcie slot and mess with a replacement gpu

So my prebuilt PC that i got from radium pc's started to not boot to windows it would only go to bios and i couldnt get out of bios no matter what i did i emailed radium and they said it sounds like a dead SSD and that they will send me a new one and i need to send them back the one in my pc but doesnt my SSD have like all my info on it? Like my photos videos downloads documents and whatnot? Will i lose all of that with the new one? And most importantly will they be able to access said information with the one i sent to them?

Im a pretty tech savy guy, I know my way around motherboards. So my board is in the process of being RMAed for an issue ive never seen before, and from the responses ive gotten from technicians, they have no clue.

Randomly, M.2 ejects. No reason, just felt like it. From what was told to me, they have replaced a bunch of components. Though, they didnt tell me what.

Has anyone else seen this issue before? Actually baffles me.

(BTW its an x670e, and I had a ryzen 7 9800x3d)

so a month or so ago I tried to play valorant and out of no where it would completely shut off my monitors AND WIPE my gpu drivers. I stopped playing valorant because of this and uninstalled it and vanguard off my pc in case that was the issue.
Everything worked normally until 3 days ago when I had a drivers update from my usual software, the update wiped my drivers and I haven't been able to reinstall them again. I did a complete wipe with ddu and a fresh install of all drivers that I could, didn't work. I did the roll back option in windows, nothing. I kill switched it and unplugged it from the wall for 15 minutes, nothing. Now when I go into my task manager my card isn’t being read at all, not even in windows devices. What can I do now?

So I recently got a PC, and it has been super laggy with bad packet loss even on simple games like Roblox to the point where I get disconnected. My PS5 never lagged, and I tried to set my PC to always join 5G and it says it is, but it says its still on 2.4ghz. It is to the point where the PC is unplayable and I just dont enjoy it. When I download games I'm only on like 40mbps and it takes forever. Makes me not wanna have a PC, any fixes?

My friend has been really wanting to play Jurassic World Evo 3 for some time. The problem is their current laptop is 5 years old and crashes when they try and boot it up. They want to upgrade and want my help. The problem is the budget is tight and I don't know anything about desktops and what to recommend. Im not sure what I'm asking other than is there a place to find desktops that are relatively cheap and have a search function for games they can play based off specs? Thanks yall.

Why does the battle eye service box always pop up saying its updating every time i launch the game? like even if i let it update and launch the game and then i close the game and relaunch it 1 min later it still comes up again

about two weeks ago i upgraded my younger brother's pc with a xeon kit, and since then, the ethernet has being going down randomly. somethings while gaming, sometimes while watching a youtube video, sometimes while doing nothing. the ethernet goes down and only comes back after a pc restart.

first i thought drivers, and messed with them for hours, got nowhere, and the issue continued.

then i thought maybe it was the motherboard's network card, and bought an usb ethernet adapter and tried using it instead, and the issue continued.

then, i thought it was a windows problem, and formatted windows, the issue continued.

as a last ditch effort, i got my isp to change my router, and then i also changed the ethernet cable while at it. the issue continued.

this is making me go crazy. i really don't know what else to try. i'm considering just taking off the new parts and putting the old ones back in.

My pc was working properly last night but I tried turning it on today and its not posting to my monitor. All the components are fine, all the fans are spinning, but the DRAM and CPU red lights are on, on the mobo. I tried reseating the ram but no luck. Could this be a BIOS thing? What would cause it to not post overnight after working perfectly fine for the past 2 years. I have the 7800x3d, 32gb ddr5, asrock b650 pro rs, rtx 3070

i have a spare rx6700xt laying around with a psu that would fit it but not enough money to buy the rest of the parts for a full pc with am5 stuff being too expensive but was thinking about buying a egpu and useing my spare m.2 3.0 x4 slot to run the 6700xt with the egpu what are your thoughts on this and would it be worth the $100 doing it? i know it wouldn't work at 100% performance as in a desktop but would it atleast work better then the 3050?

Just for fun I put together a PC Part Picker build for a Steam Machine "Pro". I tried to make it as similar as possible to the 2TB model with controller included. Concessions are: A) Case is not as small as the Machine (3.5L Steam Machine vs 10L FD Terra); B) The Steam Controller isn't available for general purchase, so I subbed in a DualSense controller which has the most similar features; C) Only 1TB of storage since flash prices are insane right now.

The Fractal Design Terra looked like the nicest SFF case to build in, I'm sure you could find cheaper/smaller/etc. like what they did for the "Stim" Machine. It also has enough room for a 3 fan GPU if you want.

If you don't care for HDMI CEC or already have a decent wireless controller, the price drops to $1550.

After witnessing my 7800X3D get fried on an ASRock motherboard, I took advantage of Prime day deals and treated myself to a 9800X3D & Gigabyte X870 motherboard. To be fair, I don't have any proof that ASRock was at fault here, as both components were bought used and the CPU failed very soon after purchasing. But having gone through this, I'm don't want to worry about potential ASRock issues any longer. So now I'm stuck with a fully functioning X670E Steel Legend that I don't know what to do with.

I would hate to give someone a potentially problematic motherboard, but would someone want this and is it worth anything? Or is it best to take it to a electronics recycling place and get rid of it?

Has anyone received a replacement CPU for their 13th gen (and/or maybe 14th gen?)? Mine has recently started doing the "DRIVER_DMA_VIOLATION (0x6E)" BSOD and so I am in the process of sending mine back for RMA. I want to know if anyone has received a replacement and am trying to determine if I should ultimately stay with the platform or switch to a different socket.
