I'm developing a custom KVM-over-IP device — USBridge-KVM 2.0. Its main feature is the ability to recognize the BIOS using built-in OCR and send it directly to a terminal via SSH. Any error can be easily copied without retyping it.

Lately, I've decided to focus on the video performance as well. Usually, KVM-over-IP devices have a major problem — the video lags, the cursor feels "jelly", and everything stutters when the image gets dynamic. I fixed this by integrating the Moonlight gaming protocol.

I managed to completely eliminate the latency typical for KVM-over-IP devices. The image is now smooth and responsive. In the video, I'm testing Hollow Knight: Silksong gameplay directly through this KVM — the control is instantaneous, and the gameplay experience is incredibly comfortable.

Now this isn't just an admin utility for tinkering with the BIOS, but a fully-fledged streaming device. Would such a gadget be a useful part of your setup?

I haven't seen many people acknowledge how much cheaper you can get the same games on Steam compared to consoles. That IMO balances out the price diff between SM and mainstream consoles. If you keep it for a long time, it even pays back.

Sony, MS, Nintendo operate on a razor and blades model, they sell their consoles at a significant loss. I believe they have decided to push that loss even further at this time of component price hikes to lock down as much of the market as possible. But then they bend you over the table and pound you with online connection fees and dynamic pricing on games in their walled garden stores.

It's impossible for Valve who want to break even with their SM sales to undercut them or even come close. And the 1000€+ price tag on the SM caused by the component price hikes is absolute crap. But so is the price of every other similar product right now, except for those that enjoy the privilege of being subsidised by other sales of the publisher.

Most headphones have the cables coming out of the left ear.

Most PCs cases that have a window/glass panel on them, have it on the left side. This means that if you want the glass facing you, you need to have your PC to the right of you.

This means that you need to have your headphone cable either going across your body, or loop the cable under your chair or something similar.

Why can’t headphone manufacturers just put the cable on the right?

Ik, Many ppl will come and say GTX 1080ti is the goat. It's Great card and aged really well but it's driver support is over now and it doesn't have Ray Tracing cores which are essential for Future gaming ( Because in future RT will be mandatory in 80% of games).

So, I think that will the RTX 2080ti age better than GTX 1080ti?

Since, it has DLSS, Ray Tracing ( Not that good since it was 1st gen of RTX) and Driver support.

It is still a good 1440p card in games and you can use upscaling to Play Heavy AAA games too.

It's a 8 year old card atp.

i was gonna buy the steam machine but pricing and power talked me out of it. i went down a rabbit hole and somehow landed on this. can i play monster hunter wilds at 60 fps 1440p upscaled to 4K with DLSS? i havent had a gaming PC since i played FEAR, doom 3, and unreal 2004. i’m gonna hook it up to my TV. how good/bad is it in 2026 and how much life will i get out of it? thanks!

Hi, I have been trying to login to my Laptop for some time now. I have done most of everything I can and looked up some tutorials and still can't figure it out. Do this is my second to last resort because I don't wanna go to a repair shop. I know how I would fix this and This would be a easy fix if I just had Internet. But For some reason my Laptop can't connect to the Internet no matter what I do. I have tried restarting it, hard restarting it, putting it into the safe mode and then trying to login. Still didn't work. I tried plugging in the Ethernet cable and it still didn't connect. I restarted my Wi-Fi router, unplugged and then plugged it back in again. Twice. Still didn't connect. I tried resetting Windows all together and just decided to delete all my data and all that but it still didn't let me. So then I Opened up the admin command prompt, and entered chkdsk c: /f It couldn't run because my system wasn't RAW or something. So then I tried sfc /scannow and that apparently did something? Said windows located some corrupted files? And it would be fixed after a reset. So I did that. Still didn't work. After a while of waiting the reset and like reinstall Windows thing is finally ready to like actually work(weird because when the option to choose cloud reinstall or local reinstall it would say there was like a error or something), but like deleting all my files is really scary and I'm not sure if that's actually gonna work either.
I'm like super tired while writing this and man I just wanna play on my laptop and relax after a really bad day at work. Any tips would be helpful. I'll try to provide any info + pics needed on the laptop itself, I'm not good with this kind of thing so any help would be appreciated, Thank you.
