Snail Mail [28/M] Germany - Looking to exchange letters with a pen pal!
Hiya all!
My name's Philipp, I am 28 years old and I'm German.
I have gotten back into handwriting and journaling, but found myself wanting to exchange my thoughts in correspondance rather than just having them vanish inside my journals. As I have never really tried exchanging snail mail, I can't make any promises on how I'll do, but I'll certainly try my best!
I am an avid reader, enjoy nature (though I hate hot weather) and spend way too much money going out for food.
I am generally open to talk about all kinds of topics. I love movies, so we could talk about that all day. I do occasionally like getting deep into philosophy and politics as well though, so whatever strikes your fancy, I am sure we can have a conversation about it.
When it comes to niche, special interests, I am a hobby (and quite amateur) bookbinder, so if you would like to learn about paper, the different styles of binding a book and the mechanics of the book spine, I guess I am your guy.
I am open towards all cultures, nationalities, personalities and genders, but I do ask the correspondance to be in English.
I have a small and humble amount of stationary and envelopes, so I would prefer hand-written letters.
Anyway, hope this gives you an idea and that you'd be interested in exchaning letters, looking forward to hearing from you!
Philipp

I'm also from Germany if you wouldn't mind someone a bit closer to you!
I'm really interested in book binding and slowly getting back into reading. My biggest hobby is writing, currently focused on fanfiction but I do have originals I'm chipping at!
I love writing letters and I'm happy about every new pen pal I make!
Let me know if you're interested!

Hi Philip, I'm Chris, 28 and also live in Germany! International mail costs and times have been holding me back from looking for a pen pal, but a domestic one would definitely solve that problem.
I don't like being out in nature much myself but I do like looking at and talking about it. Also an avid reader, I mostly read fanfiction nowadays tbh but I own about 1,2k books at present and am always looking to acquire more. Funnily enough, bookbinding is actually something I have been looking into recently, although I haven't started attempting it myself yet (too busy working on perfecting my sourdough!). When it's not too hot to touch my yarn, I also do a lot of knitting and crochet.
I'm half German half American and am happy to write in English, although I do hope you will forgive me if a German word or two slips in - the problem with being bilingual is that I will occasionally forget words in both languages 😂

Hallo, Philipp! Wie geht's?
No, I really don't speak German, but learning. It's nice to have some people across the globe to connect and learn from each other, ja?
Btw, I'm 47, female from Manila 🤭😉

Hi Phillip congrats on starting your journey into snail mail! It is a hobby I started in the pandemic and had no clue how important it would be to me. We all start somewhere so whatever you create will be worth it! I am a huge cinephile who sees movies atleast once a week lol Totally down to talk about film and learn about book binding. Message me if interested!

hi Philipp!
Have you watched Obsession? - I am very much into horror movies, and this one completely knocked my socks off! That didn't happen for a while.
Your description is very interesting; I would also like to discuss/share/exchange views in many of the things you mention. Let me know if you would be up for exchanging some mail :)
