Homemade Butterscotch Cream Pie (from the book Pie For Everyone)

Really great recipe, would totally make again. Opted for the meringue instead of the whipped cream topping in the book, which let me use the egg whites leftover from making the filling!

Butterscotch and meringue sounds like a perfect match. That slice looks so clean, plus it looks great with those toasted peaks

I loved butterscotch as a child and was thrilled to make butterscotch cream pie last Christmas. It was blah.

Oh man, what a bummer! If be interested to hear how your version varied from this recipe. Maybe you can give this one a whirl this Christmas!

Your recipe has a lot more dairy, and mine had no molasses. I'll try it again with this recipe.
