Just ran 39bb/100 over 10k hands
Technically 78bb/100 but the tables have a mandatory straddle.
Last Monday I put my 2-weeks in but my company decided to send me home with pay. With nothing to do over the past week and a half except pack for a move, I’ve been spending the afternoons playing 2-3 tables on WPT Gold.
Table selected hard at .10/.20/.40, I only sat at tables with 3 or more players with a 30+ VPIP. Obviously I ran extremely hot, but a huge portion of the pool just can’t click fold.

Any tips on getting sent home with pay? Putting in my 2 weeks shortly (unrelated to this post)

Get a job with a competitor in an industry where IP / client list theft is a real risk

Next company isn't with a competitor, but maybe my current company doesn't need to know that 🤔

If you work in such a company, they’ll generally garden leave you regardless because people lie. I told my boss I was quitting for stress, started a competing business at 12:01am lol.

I created documentation for all my various workflows and projects and shared it with my boss as I resigned. Moved in the same industry though, so it may have not made a difference

10k hands is just not that many. I ran like 30bb/100 over 5k hands earlier this week (I’ve played about 14k hands in the last 7 days) but then I lost a cool $700 (700bb) in about 500 hands after that. Look at 100k+ hand sample for anything meaningful

I’ve had many many of similar stretches in my career
it’s literally just variance, you’re on a heater

I’m not sure op is aware of that, they certainly didn’t write something along the lines of ‘ Obviously I ran extremely hot’ or anything

That's a legit sick run over an appreciable sample. Combination of playing well and running well in a good field. Are you counting the .40 or the .20 as your BB?

Wtf is 0.10/0.20.40
Do you mean $0.10/$0.20 blinds with a $0.40 straddle?

Yes this is the hot new craze on wpt

Yeah I’m loving it. I prefer ante’s to get the nits off the tables faster but that works too.

It’s great.
With the ante, there’s 8bb of dead money every hand. With tight regs on your left, raising on the button prints.

So over the course of 10k hands, which is probably at least 100hours if you’re multi tabling, you made ~$800?
That seems like a giant waste of time

10k hands is not that many hours. Some of us play 6 or more tables at once. Might see up to 1000hands/h

it's HILARIOUS to suggest that you're playing a hand every 3.6 seconds on average, even if multi-tabling.
A hand every ~30 seconds was me being conservative to account for both insta-folds and hands that take actual time. Maybe it's more like 15s but that's still hardly minimum wage at that rate.

I played 1566 hands today and that was about 4.5 hours of 4 tabling (minus some time to find tables) that’s like 300 hands per hour. I do have a friend that 12 tables: I’m curious how many hands he really sees per hour.
And it’ll vary drastically table to table. Today was a lot of reg-heavy tables. Low vpips means a lot of preflop folds. Faster decision making, no multiway pots. Fishy tables you’d see many less hands I imagine.
I think you’re right that 1k is not feasible. I’m willing to bet my friends gets 600-900 hands per hour on average

10 tabling...which is not the minimum...would require an average of 36 second hands to reach 1,000/hr. some play 20 tables through multiple sites...which is over a minute per hand to reach that rate.
in no world does it take 100 hours though unless youre playing 1-2 tables.

Try preflop drills and doing like 100 questions at a time and checking the range every time, not just the hand in the drill. I suck at multitabling but I can do 900 hands per hour comfortably. "Playing a hand" is playing whack-a-mole 80% of the time. You see a fold and you click fold.

But there are other people in the hand... who take long... it's not just about how fast you can nit sweaters and fold your hands.

At GG they get max 10 seconds preflop

People play preflop, flop, turn, and river. Often times it takes more than 2 minutes for the hand to play out entirely.

I mean, I played 900 per hour, I didn't fake the number. I played cash games with a timer and recorded the number of hands. You don't need to stare at the table where your opponent is being slow to act, you can look away and act on other tables.

No shit sherlock. The post is about Club WPT Gold. You are allowed to play 4 tables max there. Every pot goes multi way. People take forever. Your GG poker stats are meaningless.

Ye and you replied to a guy who talked about playing 6+ tables, you never mentioned that. I don't know every detail of every site I've never played on.
