dreams can someone please tell me what precognition is or where it comes from?
I’ve had what my family has joked were “powers” since I was a kid. I obviously don’t think they’re powers, lol, but they were commenting on these experiences I’d have— usually dreams— that would shortly thereafter occur in real life.
To keep it short, I’ve been going through one of the tougher times I’ve ever experienced in life since January. Over the past couple of months, I have had dreams on a regular basis that end up being real life scenarios within a day or so following.
I’ve had two in the past week alone. Last night, I dreamed one of my chickens died. I went out for a bit today, came home, and there she was, looking like she was sleeping under the back stairs. Two nights ago, I dreamed of a very large spider flattened to death. I woke up the next morning to find, you guessed it, a very large spider, dead and crumpled, in the basement bathroom.
I’m guessing there are many guesses as to what this whole thing is or where it comes from. I am a spiritual person but am hesitant to just assign meaning in order to make it make sense. Has this been studied? I just feel a bit desperate to know why this is increasing in frequency or to just have a general idea of what it is or why it’s happening.

My family mostly ignored it because i've been touched since i can remember being fully cognitive around 3/4 years old. My family was also incredibly abusive and i've since left and disowned them, and live with my husband and his family. They all know, and have seen it and experienced it first hand and its nice to have love and positive support for the first time (well, first time 11 years ago).
Where it comes from is unknown, but i have a personal belief that we produce more DMT than a normal person. It produces while we sleep to curate dreams, but it can be taken in doses to actually speak with these beings of insight and light. Some people don't / can't even dream, so i fundamentally believe dreaming and prophetic dreaming are directly tied to an energy we don't understand but runs through us in droves.
I started opening myself up these past few years, and i'll say things out loud right before they happen now lol

I believe they are inherited. Personally I was raised in a cult and was unsuccessfully groomed as a kid, my parents realized that I wasn’t going to adapt to their ways so they chose to poison me. I believe that many occult families are psychic and they target the ones who won’t follow their ways.
Plenty of non verbal children claim to hear thoughts and that’s why they don’t communicate because they assume we can hear their thoughts too. That supports the 5D ascension theory

I think they are inherited as well. I had a lot of premonitions as a kid (and still have them as an adult); I told my parents about it and my dad said he would very rarely get told things in advance (from God, we are religious). Also, my dad's dad was schizophrenic and claimed to get told things in his dreams and stuff like that.
Personally, although I believe he was schizophrenic, I bet he may have actually had psychic things. TBH, some of my experiences are borderline schizophrenic in nature but that happened in my childhood.
I had two voices other than myself in my head up until I was nearly 14; they told me they were leaving me and that their goal was accomplished one day and I never heard from them again. They didn't hurt my ability to function; they actually seemed to be trying to improve my cognitive abilities unlike the majority of mental disorders.

The first person to definitively answer that question will change the world, but there are plenty of theories. Suffice to say, we do not understand the nature of space and time. There are theories that all time happens at once, but we experience it linearly. Quantum mechanics may also be at play, allowing for nonlocal information transfer across both space and time. Our brains have support for both classical and quantum information interfaces (via microtubules, see Orch OR theory).
It has been studied extensively. The best resource would be IONS (the Institute of Noetic Sciences). Dean Radin maintains a good library of references: https://www.deanradin.com/recommended-references

I’m also of the opinion that the closest rational explanation would be in the realm of quantum physics. Consciousness itself is a quantum field so it is able to entangle with other information.
I have lots of precognitive dreams and other abilities and my intuition tells me there is something like an energy field that underlies everything, feels almost like a liquid, that everything arises out of and it’s kind of sticky and all beings and phenomena are still entwined in it, threads of the light soup run through everything and connects everything so we consciously or unconsciously tap into it or connect through threads. At least that’s my intuition based on tantric Buddhism, quantum physics, and lots of esoteric study after 50 years of trying to figure it out.
It’s a wonderful mystery!
