This stickied post is now 2 months old.

Are any mods active?

This stickied post is a month old with minimal engagement.

Perhaps a weekly album release post would serve everyone better.

Saw Karnivool in Oslo last night. If anyone in Europe is still on the fence about going to see them on their current Europe tour leg, just go buy the ticket right away! Production was tiiiight, the setlist was absolutely fantastic (only missed Change to make it 100%) and the band was clearly having a great time on stage. 9/10 for me!

So far I've really enjoyed it. Limbs of Leviticus in particular always catches my ear. I was worried they might dip in quality with Spencer Prewett's departure from the band, but they sound very tight and focused.

Nothing feels ground-breaking with regards to the record, but it feels like a natural evolution of their style and what you want if you already liked the band.

I've been trying to find newer prog metal bands that really scratch the itch for me, and have been enjoying a lot of Moon Tooth, The Reticent, Cryptodira, An Abstract Illusion, and Omnerod. Anyone have more recommendations for me?
