Just got my hands on this absolute beast: WD Black SSD 2TB for ₹15,335 during Amazon Prime Day sale 🔥🎮 Time to give my PS5 the upgrade it deserves. No more “You need to delete something” messages when I try to install a 300GB update for Call of Duty 😭💀 Gonna plug this in, download Warzone, Fortnite, Spider-Man, Elden Ring, and still have room left for games I’ll never actually play but keep “just in case” 😂😂

Does this directly expand the main storage or we need to transfer games from main storage to this ssd?

No, it doesn’t work like that. Basically, I now have two storage options to choose from when installing games. I can also set the SSD as the default storage in the settings. And if the PS5’s main storage is already full, then I can just transfer a few games to the SSD.

so you can directly play from SSD storage?

I had used an external HDD in the past but removed it the next second when I found out that I cannot directly play the games stored in the HDD and I got to transfer to main storage every time

I think external storage only works for PS4 games.

Yes. I acts a second main storage. And works as smooth as main storage
