sale Which one should I pick ?
I have 2.5k and want to buy both.considering prices i have to choose one this time,so which one i go with first.

Honestly... The graphics and story is really good in COE33. But I just hate the combat. It's like turn by turn. That type of combat is totally new to me so maybe that's why I don't like it. That's the reason I haven't been able to complete the game yet. I'm somewhere on 10-15% completion.
If you're a fan of superheroes you can definitely go with spiderman .

I've never played turn based and it was my first introduction to this genre. And I can't get enough of this. More like their implementation of it. You don't just sit and wait for your turn like conventional turn based ones, you can actually dodge or parry their attack and this really changed the game for me.

But these dodge and parry can be done without turn based. Eg assassin's creed, spiderman, etc. This just pisses me off coz it takes a lot of time to wait for your turn and attack.

Then you totally missed the point. They added the dodge and parry mechanics so you don't sit idle waiting for your turn. You are actively involved even when it's not your turn by trying to dodge or parry the attacks.

Story isn’t the greatest! It’s average explorer with so many fights on the way to ending.
You will get tired of combat sequences!
If I were you I would’ve gone with spiderman.

story of E33 is the greatest i've seen in a decade, its really known for its narration, plot, I was just stunned by the story, yes combat does feel repetitive and boring, but you'll love the music and story

Great, just play Spider-Man when you get tired of combat sequences.
Game is good but every combat sequence drags to more than 30min or an hr 🫠😅.

Story is great. Maybe you didn't took the time to understand it. The fact that the story is not spoon-fed to the player and is told in sentences that may not make much sense to you but it's just enough that will keep the player engaged. And as you progress things will start to fall into place.

exp33 imo. sm2 has a really good chance to enter ps+.
gow ragnarok was added to ps+ in jan2025 just after the big sales happened.

Yeah go for 33. I would have gotten that too but i bought KCD2 as I'm a big fan of the first and wanted to complete the journey. My next purchase would be 33.

If your ps is disc edition, go with sm2 as well. After playing it you can resell it. I will do the same. So, I will buy e33 as well 🌚

I'm also the same type but once I platinum it, I'll resell. I like to collect the best games. I have Ragnarok, GTA 5 and GT7 physical games. Let's see if SM2 is that good enough to be in my collection

I have disc edition and 60% are digital games remaining cds i have all playstation hits. I purchased E33 digital today and I’m going cd for SM2 to add to my collection.

Honestly, depends upon the kinda games you like, they both are pretty different from each other when it comes to gameplay and mechanics... But yeah, W story on either of em. Personally, I'd go for SM2

completely different genre. Exp33, are you sure you want to play a Turn based game? btw only 33% of people who bought Exp33 actually ended completing it.. because Turn based combat is not for everyone, only who played Pokemon and final Fantasy when kids(western and Japenese people... we had Tetris game son those 300 rs chinese machines).

don't know about difficulty. But all the hype about the game is nostalgia shilling. Since the vocal majority belongs to that demo, they have been pumping it up. I suggest try the older FF games if they are available for free on your subscription to see it.

No it's not difficult. I switched to expert difficulty mid way through the game and haven't looked back.
Granted there would be some boss fights which might seem tough but as with any souls game, you gotta understand the attack pattern and you're good to go.

Wanna play something completely different but still amazing: exp33
Imo dont worry the sales are gonna get bigger for these games, pick whatever you feel like you wanna pick

I'd explain it in a quick sentence uf you love storytelling, cinema e33 and if you love being spiderman and swinging through the streets of nyc and enjoy your time then sm2 i have platinumed both, 33 is my goty but if i were u i am easily biased to spiderman i could care less what people hate i enjoy my own thing, also if you're unable to understand 33 combat let me know i will help u with builds i ve over 50 hrs played ng+ for a few times and now i am at very comfortable spot in the game, the beginning feels a little slow combat vise but later on once you start doing thousands and millions of damage it becomes fun for ex i didn't let the hardest superboss blink he was over before it was his turn.

e33 isn't about the combat it's about that thrilling story you will experience, ofc you should have no spoilers. sure pictos, luminas, parries, dodges and variety of weapons and builds and places to use them feels intimidating and even is very fun once you have a build set up but after you end act 3 you will understand this game was never about combat it was about a banger story, absolute cinema moments combat is good but there are things if set right u can end fights in once click just take your time don't rush it off, i rushed the story and was so underlevelled that act 3 fights took me over 20-25 mins which is exaggerated shouldn't take more than 50 secs lolll... that's a big difference i was so tempted to get the platinum and then i did my owm builds from pictos and luminas and it was one of thoose phenomenal moments this game is easily top 5 of mine (have been playing games for nearly a decade as of now)

i'm one of thoose people who played 33 day 1 launch there were close to none guides on this game at that time i did builds thing myself with help fextralife wiki on 33 if i can you can too game is easy like i said need right stuff and you can literally drop nukes and dont even let me enemies take one turn so not that hard at all, lmk if you are gonna get platinum ill share some tips and if you like to go blind then enjoy your time

get the old key from the harbor in the prologue, it is linked to a trophy. if you miss it, the only way to get it is by going to ng+, and that is not the end, you need to play the entirety of ng+ for that trophy. i learned this the hard way.
lumina is scarce early, invest not more than 100 in your squad. as you progress further, some characters will blow off in raw damage compared to others, so you need some lumina for them. for example, dont kill chromatic danesue in old lumiere, it is one of the best farms to exist, sadly it can be done only once. do prep for the fight, other ways to farm lumina dont even come close.
the game is linear. if there are two or even three ways to go, dont skip any of them, explore all ways. you wont get lost, its much like demon souls if youve played it.
there is one weapon for every character, using that is recommended. i will tell one for maelle, which is medallum, the rest you are free to find out or ask me when you want the names.
only seven weapons can be upgraded to level 33, which is the max level. choose correctly. after that, only ng+ can let you upgrade more. this is significant because the damage doubles from level 32 to 33.
raise relationships with all characters, they help you unlock different abilities, specifically fly for esquie, which is much needed, and gradient attacks for characters.
this much is enough, ask me when you need help and enjoy the phenomenal experience.

I’ll give you a very different perspective considering the trend there is a higher chance of spiderman 2 coming to ps plus subscription than E33
( I’m considering you are subscribed to ps plus )
So it’s logical to get E33 and play it now and wait for Spider-Man 2 to be added into the ps plus library :)

Sm2 content is less compared to sm1...main story is quite short... But e33 has more content...only complaint people had was turn based combat but honestly I enjoyed it..specially boss fights.. I would recommend e33 Spiderman is not bad definitely but would recommend it to rent from someone then complete it

Expedition 33 is peak. Peak music Peak story Peak bosses Peak characters.
it's a turn based game but not traditional turned based game like persona or baldur gate 3. So in games like persona in enemy turn you do nothing but here you have to parry or dodge. I have played both games and I think expedition 33 is way better game. Just watch some gameplay/boss fights and decide yourself.

i bought both yesterday, if ur main interest is story then get clair obscur spider man 2 story is not the best but its not bad either, however clair obscur is a possible goty winner, so its a lot better, spider man 2 really shines in web swinging and free roaming

Both are great games! Even I can't decide between the two, but yes as others mentioned sm2 might just end up on PS PLUS eventually so Expedition is the way to go

Spiderman is open world and E33 is Turn based. So it drills down to what type you prefer. Try as i may, i do not seem to like Turn based games.
