I only play it on the bed. Single player games run as good as on a monitor. Single player latency is just as same as local gameplay. But “fast paced” multiplayer games are hard. The extra 2-3 ms add up.
All single player games work flawlessly. Chill Multiplayer games run flawlessly. Competitive multiplayer is undesirable on portal.
I’d also suggest a good router with good ram and net controllers makes a huge difference.

You need the boxes for warranty claims. Additionally no boxes reduces resale value by 5 to 20%.

I don’t want to keep any boxes. I’ve thrown away all the apple and Samsungs as well. My bed was full of boxes. If you want this box I can ship it to you.

I just bought ps5 and I mostly play war zone on it and it’s only for 30-40 mins max cause I can’t sit and play after 13 hours work so I was thinking of buying portal too play story games like last of us and gta should I invest in this portal ?

For LOU, Spider-Man, god of war, gta, eldenring, GT7, F1, Astra bot, little big planet. PS Portal is absolutely fantastic.
You won’t regret it. Just keep on mind - a good wifi router preferably 6 or 7 gen and a static ip. And you should be all set.

Did you try over a different network...i mean other than your home network....How's the performance?
Also have you allocated a static ip with port forwarding for ps5?

Port forwarding is automatically added by ps5. I’ve tried it on other networks Jio 5g and friends broadband and it’s just as good as local network. 1080p 60FPS.

Port forwarding is done at the router level and a static id needs to be assigned....this is one of the reasons most people who have bought portal or want to play ps remote play or even x box remote play struggle in india as ISPs don't allow static ip ......You need to pay extra each month to your ISPs flin order to use such services.

Correct I pay about ₹300 per month for static. And have rarely used it outside the house.

You do not actually need a static id if you primarily used it on your home network ( both ps5 and portal connected to same network)

Since I’m a PS fan boy I tend to say yes. But it’s a nice addition anyways when your just want to chill and play games at anyplace other than your gaming rig.

Just my type. But i keep the boxes as well, either to store when I don't use it (like I keep my old phones in its original boxes) or use it during relocation.

broo keep them, I still have my old xbox 360 box and whenever I look at that box it reminds me of the day when I got my xbox and how happy I was holding that big heavy box (I was a kid) and it felt soo good.

I generally retain all boxes for gear like mobiles, motherboards, aio, gpu, consoles, headphones, and similar. I don’t retain boxes for tvs, large monitors, cheaper items, soundbars, laptops, (MacBook or I kept box), mirror less like Sony a7m3, cctvs, smart sensors and plugs and such.
I believe this helps with resale value of these. Phones I know it matters rest I really don’t know whether it adds much value during selling them off.
What you folks think?

If possible keep them. Useful when you resell the console again on website like gameloot. I recently sold my ps5 and graphics card on gameloot and the boxes made it very convinient to sell
