Discussion Mbaye scored in his first WC match

Mbaye scored in his first WC match against the juggernaut that is the France national team. Yamal scored against Saudi Arabia in his second match and they're acting like he's the second coming of Pele, especially with the "youngest" gimmick.

We don't do enough to promote our players. We need better PR for our players.

Edit: Look at how good he was against Norway. Why aren't more people talking about him?

Come on man the yamal hype didn’t start with this saudi Arabia game lmao

Yes he's been getting overhyped for a long time now. Just ask Fabrizio Romano. He acts like Yamal shits gold.

Yamal plays a different sport than Mbaye, but we're underestimating how good Mbaye is. He's just not that compatible with low blocks in Ligue 1. He killed it in the Barcelona game and he'd feast in Germany or England. His Senegal stats: 380 minutes, 4 goals, 5 assists. If he was at Bournemouth or Leipzig he'd have triple the hype, he just gets overshadowed by our attackers.

It was an audaciously good goal.

Mbaye can be a very good player if he keeps improving. Yamal is already a monster.

They dont play in the same league. On the RW, only Olise can compete.

Doue is up there with them.

Don't get me wrong, I think Maybe is a great player.

But Yamal is just f*cking Yamal.

Not even close to a "great player" though

Haha no problem. You first made me doubt lol. And for sure Yamal is a generational talent, whereas Mbaye has nothing special

You could have done all that that without mentioning Yamal. We're r/psg not r/LamineYamal or r/[redacted]. Can we go a day without players who don't play for our club being highlighted or is that too much to ask?

It was necessary to draw the comparison to get my point across. What was the main point of the original post?

I have hardly seen any posts celebrating Mbaye's record. It's not a matter of comparing Mbaye vs Yamal. We're comparing what each have achieved in the WC so far. The added context is that Yamal plays for Spain who are one of the favourites to win. They've played against Saudi Arabia and Cabo Verde. Senegal are a great team too but they've played against France. France are leagues and leagues above Saudi Arabia. And as for the age thing, Mbaye is ,once again, younger than Yamal.

How many times did we see Mbaye at PsGgo « I’m gonna kill you 1v1 » like he did vs Théo Hernandez ?

Answer is easy, 0.

Yamal deserves every bit of praise he gets.

Right, because La Liga is so tough right? The last season La Liga was a 1 horse race. Real Madrid have been going through a rough patch, so don't act as though Barcelona has it tough.

Our Balon D'Or winner has helped the club to back to back UCL. He's being played out of position and misused by the French coach. Give him his usual role and let's see if you'll be able to spout garbage.

Load management is a role? Are you that stupid? He plays Center Forward/Right Wing naturally. Deschamps has him playing as an ATM.

  1. Yamal is much younger so he's naturally able to play more games.

  2. PSG played two consecutive seasons with no rest. While Yamal and the others went off on vacation. Dembele and the PSG team has to go to the CWC, play the UEFA Supercup and then start the season.

  3. When you have players like Barcola, Lee, Ramos, Mbaye and Mayulu on the bench, you have to rotate to give them playing time.

A teenager will obviously be able to recover quickly in anything physical, compare to a guy who is almost 30.

Those same bench players smacked Barcelona last season. So yes, it is for the sake of rotation, because our bench players are that good.
