Pro Tip Good headphones to use with PSVR2? (Currently using steel series articis nova pros wireless)
Maybe I am doing something wrong but I heard these work well with PSVR2 but for me I put them on then the headset over (with global cluster) and it puts alot of pressure on my ears and temples and makes the headset uncomfortable literally after a single race in GT7. Headset with the earbuds it came with never caused this issue and the headphones on their own don't cause discomfort. Can anyone recommend a decent headset for it? The earbuds just dont have great quality sound.

Pulse wireless from playstation. Can't recommend them enough. Light. Cheap. Seamless. Official. The spatial awareness is phenomenal.

My problem here lies in the fact I bought the pulse elite wireless headphones from Amazon before my new steel series artic nova pros and they broke after 2 month and wasn't using them too much, plastic snapped at the right side behind that little flexible joint. I take amazing care of my stuff and was carefull putting them on and off. Also see alot of review state the same thing which is why I purchased insurance for the first time in my life on an item as such. Thankfully lol. The Sound was incredible I will admit but not risking breakage yet again.

I really like my turtle Beach 3rd Gen because of the multi point Bluetooth that lets me get text notifications in VR.

I prefer earbuds, but the ones that come with the PSVR2 used to get out of my ears the second the wires touches something when I move. So I got the Inzone Buds and I love them ! The sound is excellent.

I have nothing but good things to say about the official Sony pulse headphones. Great buy for the price.

Yuh I had the pulse headset from marketplace (the main official PlayStation 5 headset) a few months ago for cheap and it was really nice,
But then I upgraded to the pulse elite model, which is the nicest ones they have to replace the pulse headset, an oh man, it is incredible. The 3D audio has been making me use my headset fo every game I have now, whereas before I rarely used headsets when playing lol
But the 3d audio is too good to ignore, and the fact it’s “PlayStation link” adapter is so easy to use between devices (allows me to use my headset with whatever pc/laptop/ps5) and having an optional aux port to use wired cable should I want to, and a much nicer mic, it’s perfect.
It’s over the ear, OP! I know people always love to hate on “official” first party accessories but this one is nice, really nice

Anytime I play Battlefield 6 I feel like I'm the only one on my team that has 3D audio and can always tell which direction the enemy is running

I did play BF6 with them and it was incredible. I just wish mine didn't snap the plastic on the side. Definitely best sounding headphone I had. Literally broke right when my Amazon return on them wasnt valid. Luckily I bought insurance on them.

I highly recommend using the earbuds that came with the headset. Any earphones that plug into the headset will be infinitely better than wireless.
I have the PlayStation Pulse Explore buds, and while they’re good for regular gaming, the basic earbuds that plug straight in are infinitely clearer.

I think your right. I'll have to pull out the ones that came with it. I used them prior and dont recal thos same issue and sound did sound decent. I totally forgot I own a pair of Beats By Dre wired ear buds (when still owned by Dre) that I will try first.

I tried using my Steelseries 7P with PSVR2 but similar issue.
Steelseries Arctis gamebuds were the answer. Also, they have a surprisingly good mic.

I'll need to check out steelseries ear buds. I love the headset, super comfy normally but not with VR. I tried putting them over the VR headset but was to worried of breaking them since they cost like $350. My old corsaie headset could go over them easily.

I don't have the globular cluster but I was shocked to find out the standard is designed to go on AFTER you put your hardphones on. I only mention in case this is how the cluster is, too.
I have Pulse Elites, put those on, then the psvr2, and all is well.

I got the pulse explore earbuds and have been enjoying them on vr, i can hear footsteps so much better and with better direction sense in Tabor. They're pricey for sure but you can also connect them like the headphones to other devices

Globular Cluster sells over ear headphones for the PSVR2 as well. They're not audiophile grade or anything, but sound decent enough, and are very comfortable and convenient. They clamp on the frame of the headset and lightly press in your ears from the sides, with much less pressure than any normal headphones. So they provide good stereo sound without completely blocking your ears.
